For the two of you who’s wondering or let’s say “cares” if I have been sort of kinda dead or not, well here I am my darlings, I’m not dead or worse, got married! I’m alive and now you can go back and sort your life out... hang on, I still got some very important useless things to share.

It’s no secret at this point, not that it has actually ever been, that I now live in Chesterfield (in England, you know... up here! United Kingdom of Prince William? Right.). Yeah, I know, WHY?! OK, let’s just say I like exotic and hardly known/visited/cared places very much. Is my reason good enough? Yeah? Really?! Good. Because I can’t make up any other! (For some reason) I believe I have a very important mission for this town, and what the hell is that, erm I believe (for some reason again) that it is to make it the most famous place on earth.. No, make that in the whole universe (including black holes, Neverland, etc..)! Yeah, of course not possible but I have the right to believe in impossible things so just let me, will yah? You’ll never know dear, just never know. No, seriously, never!

It hasn’t been that very long ago since I got here but nothing educational yet I can share with you. Wait, erm, unless you might want to know about that psychotic coach driver who I thought would kidnap me as I was desperately trying to get away from London. It was all quite frustrating and tiring having not much sleep from a very long flight and carrying around a total of 35 kilograms of luggage around the airport and in to and all over the underground stations and then to the coach station and to some random English town, in some random part of England, but not exactly where I planned to go to but it was near to Chesterfield anyway! All I just wanted to do during those hard times was to be with the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armour, my soul mate! I wanted to go to him and be comforted, but my transport nightmares lead me to Wayne and Bondy instead. Wayne and Bondy!

Yes dear, you have read it damn right. Wayne and Bondy, those two seemingly ordinary English men, are the lucky people whom I will both be sharing my life with for the next six months! Whether they like it or not, they will be mentioned and seen on this blog loads, no secrets to hide, that is if anyone can be bothered to care (anyone??!)! So sorry Wayne and Bondy, I know I don’t have to do this but I need some entertainment and something to write about but just while I’m living in Chesterfield for only the next few months! Unless, of course,I decide to live here forever or I get killed OR I decide to live here and get killed by stabbing myself for deciding to live here forever! Nah, Chesterfield shouldn’t be so bad. Just read on, we’ll see.

Nah, I don’t mean we’ll see on this entry! We have to see and wait for a few more months and then you can judge and mock Chesterfield for all it’s got to offer. Come on, this town has got so much to offer, and now there’s....... tah-dah, me! Oh yes yes. ;)

Erm, due to my previous blog in which I have probably mentioned alcohol more than anything that has to do with travelling, readers have started believing that I’m an alcoholic which I am not! But might as well have some Absinthe on my first night in Chezzie and sod what people think of me. A few Strongbows and a quite forgettable conversation with Bondy after, I have walked into a closet as I was trying to get into bed. OK maybe this blog would even make me look worse than an alcoholic Whitney Houston, but what the hell!

Ladies, gentlemen, Wayne and Bondy, I now begin this life in Chezzie!

....

....

....

(Chesterfield? What was I thinking?!)

Chesterfield, England>, Oct 07, 2008

Lots of people are currently bumming around at Mark's place in Chesterfield....Wayne (wayneollerenshaw) is currently renting a room and Estephanie (darlingwish) is staying there as well. Then Hannah (hannah-lou) is up there for a week on her promised visit before she goes back to OZ and Ashley (ashleynpearson) is over from the US so she made a pit stop as well. Talk about a house full of travbuddies! I really wanted to go up the weekend of the 3rd-5th to party with them but couldn't since I was working that weekend.

Luckily a careers fair came up in Salford tomorrow that my work wanted me to do. Rather then them paying for me to stay in a hotel I said I could stay at my friends in Chesterfield and it's cheaper for them to buy the train tickets there instead. So after work today I took the train up to Chesterfield but didn't arrive until 9pm. Whilst on the train I got a call from the house to do a booze run as they were out of Strongers and Whiskey. So got the taxi to stop for me and had a bit of confusrion with the lady at the counter over what type of Whiskey to buy...

Anyways back at Mark I kicked ass in Wii Bowling and then we played twister which is actually very very hard to do with 6 people! From there we moved onto Drink Jenga which is the best game ever! Basically writing a drink rule on every block and people have to do that as they go along and then if you make the tower fall you gotta skull your whole drink. My favourite piece had to be the "Kick Bondy in the Balls" block. Haha courtesy of me of course! The truth and dare block also got very good use but don't need to get into that here...HAHA

I eventually had to call it a night though as I had to get up at 6am to catch my train to Salford. The rest of them still partied the night away as I could hear all the screaming and laughing as I was drifing off to sleep...

Chesterfield, England>, Jul 12, 2008

My trip to Chesterfield (UK) started at 4.45am when my alarm clock went off... I had to catch the first train in Deventer at 6.45am. In my city Almelo, the first train to Schiphol was going at 6.49am and our flight was 10.00am... So I managed to let myself drive to Deventer with my dad at 5.45am, it's like 45km away from Almelo. Thank you daddy for letting me be on time at Schiphol!

So when I finally arrived at Schiphol at 8.10am, I went to the departure hall already to see where we had to check in and I waited for Marc there, because there was such a long line with people who all had to check in... A stupid thing is that you had to pay €15,- for 1 checked in bag... We didn't had that much luggage and it was okay to just take it along in the plane. Of course I had some problems with my luggage, I couldn't bring 2 things because it was bigger than 100ml so they took it away from me. After we we're ready with that we noticed that our plane was delayed... A good thing was that Marc fixed us two seats together and a windowseat, also my first time in the plane on the 2nd row hehe...

Finally we arrived at London Luton Airport we had to withdraw some money and find out how to get to London St. Pancras trainstation. We bought our traintickets to London St. Pancras station and a shuttle bus was taking us to London Luton Parkway station. It took about 40mins in total to get to London St. Pancras, but we made it. There we had to buy our ticket fare to Chesterfield! We walked around a bit a the trainstation and bought some food and drinks. The trainride was a bit more than 2 hours and we were in the quiet zone, which I noticed later. I phoned Wayne already that we were in the train, so Marc decided to take a pic of that sign haha! I tried to sleep a bit in the train, but it was hard because of (Marc's words) Miss DJ in front of us with her stupid music that was way too loud! And after another DJ next to us with his music arggg!

Okay, so finally we arrived in Chesterfield! I phoned Wayne again and he would pick us up with the rest of the gang... So after 5-10 minutes we saw a bunch of people entering the trainstation! Finally, we all met and now we were a total of 7 people: Marc (Marc79), Wayne (Wayneollerenshaw), Steph (Darlingwish), Matt (Matthew1982), Audrey (Nomad-hippie), Adam (Not on TB) and not to forget me, myself and I!

After we had to go to Bondy's place where we would stay for the weekend! I drove along with Matt, Adam and Marc. It was actually so weird, sitting in a car with the driver at the right side and driving on the left side of the way... I still can't imagine how people can manage to drive like that, but okay... I guess I'll never get used to that! Once we arrived at Bondy's place, the Strongbows and Budweisers entered the room! Later on we went by taxi to the city center of Chesterfield, where me, Steph, Audrey and Wayne got us some food! KEBAB! Marc, Adam and Matt were already in the pub... We later joined them as soon as we finished our kebabs... There Craigo joined our group and came along! So after having a few drinks and some picture taking as well, we went to the trainstation to catch the train to Sheffield where the real party would get started! When we arrived at the trainstation, no one had the intention to buy a trainticket so we would see what will happen once the ticketguy would come... So we jumped on the train and found us some seats next to sleeping people... Of course after a while the ticketguy came and we all started walking to the front of the train like crazy ones, I don't actually know why we did it, because when you do something like that everyone knows that you don't have a valid ticket with you hehe... Steph, Wayne and Craigo hide themselves on the toilet and Adam and Matt started to buy a ticket at the ticketguy and I was ready with money to buy tickets as well, but after he finished with Adam and Matt he just walked away to the back of the train again... Then we finally arrived in Sheffield and got ourselves some dinner at the Burger King for the ones who wanted to eat. There Marc came up with this crazy idea, to make a mask from the Burger King bag and he put it on Steph's head.

Later we went to another pub again to play some pool and we got introduced with Jacques, cider with fruit! Damn, this is so my drink there in UK... Next time, I'm gonna drink that again, I liked it so much! Although I still suck in playing pool, I'll keep on practising and I had a great time playing pool with Matt as my teammate and playing against Steph and Wayne! Then next stop was another pub, where we had a few drinks again and Irish Car bombs, Guiness with a shot of baileys... Such a weird combination and really terrible to drink in my opinion, but I managed to finish almost half of it! It was fun anyway to see the rest of the gang finishing it like they loved it so much. We also played a game of killer, something with 3 lives and when you miss shooting the ball in the whole you lose a life! I was out of the game first haha. Next stop the Leadmill, it was a 5-10 minute walk from the pub where we were to the Leadmill and the way to it was a bit hilly and Wayne and Craigo decided to roll in the grass until they got down, what a weirdos but it was funny to see! I think one of us has this videotaped on camera? But I only don't know who... Once we arrived in the Leadmill, more drinks, dancing and foolishness!

The evening ended with some street performances of Craigo, Craigo Ft. Matt, Craigo Ft. Marc and eating some more food at the Kebab shop!

All of us woke up at the end of the morning, beginning of the afternoon... Craigo offered us bacon with egg sandwiches which were great! :D Finally, when everybody was ready after a few hours of course hehe, we made a walk outside to a restaurant where some of us ate the real English food, something like mixed roast with different kinds of meat and potatoes...

After we walked back to Bondy's place and went by taxi to the city center again and let the drinking get started again haha! We went to the same pub as we where yesterday and we stayed there for a while thinking what we could do the rest of the day. Later we went for a small walk around the city where Wayne got abused haha, just take a look at the pictures and I even have a video of it! Also there was a big group bromance which was really sweet awww. We finally went to Rileys where we played some pool and chose ourselfs some good songs to play on the Jukebox, 3 songs for £1. Me and Audrey managed to have the longest game of pool ever, I think... Just ask the others haha! But it was a lot of fun again, too bad this all was going to end soon... Matt had to leave us already :( He had to work mondaymorning again and he had to drive back home... So we said goodbye to him (that's until a next meet up of course)

We continued playing a bit more of pool and Marc walked Matt back to his car, because Marc still had some booze we had to finish later on like Whisky and Strongbows... Before leaving Rileys, we all had an Irish Car bomb again, I tried to finish it this time but it was too much again, sorry Steph! So she finished mine! Now we were 6 left, hitting the streets: Steph, Wayne, Marc, Audrey, Craigo and me.

Spending a while walking on the street, everyone was in a singing mood haha... So there were the street performances, Marc Ft. Audrey and Marc Ft. Craigo... Also Craigo himself who always loves to sing and even a singing Wayne, Audrey and Steph repeating the Baby, Baby! I don't even know which song it is haha... Then we continued walking on the street, doing nothing actually... Wayne was holding the strongbow bottles in a plastic bag and he was swinging a bit with it and Audrey was on the phone with a friend. Suddenly Wayne let go of the Strongbow, I don't know what happened exactly and the plastic bag broke and the Strongbows were flying towards Audrey! Oops...

Then after there was the strongbow fight between Wayne and Steph and us drinking in front of a bar, which wasn't allowed of course so we had to go away. During the meet up we all wanted to do some karaoke, but it wasn't possible until finally Craigo said he could fix us karaoke at his place. So Craigo, Audrey, Marc and me went by taxi to Craigo's place and we brought the booze... In the taxi there was of course some more singing from Craigo, that poor taxi driver hahaha...

Once we finally arrived at Craigo's place, we drunk some more Strongbow and started to sing without karaoke but just singing with a microphone which was fun! Craigo also showed us his lyrics book with song he made himself... Also Marc finally sung the 'Happy Birthday' in Surinam for me, which he promised to sing for me! Thank you Marc, it was great haha :D

Later on Audrey fall asleep and we couldn't wake her up anymore, she was like knocked out... So we couldn't really say goodbye to her, that was a bit sad. Then it was time to say goodbye to Craigo (or Marc's fav. name the Snoremaster 2000) and I'm pretty sure I'll see him some day again too! Marc and me left in the taxi, going back to Bondy's place where Steph and Wayne we're waiting for us... Only 4 left!

After a few hours of sleep (partly thanks to the Snoremaster 2000) I woke up and sat in the living room with Audrey, Krystle and Matt just reminiscing on the last night and how drunk everyone was. After I helped Matt with his battle to get the shower to operate I had a few glasses of water to bring back the fluid in my brain. The bacon sandwiches that Craigo made us helped me also to get back to my normal self.

After my shower I hijacked Wayne's laptop to pass some time to wait for everybody to actually wake up. When that happened we walked to a...I have no idea where we walked to to be honest. I cannot remember everything haha. But I had a good roast meal there. It was so much I couldn't even finish it completly! Of course the beer was served again. I told Audrey the day before how I love to steal glasses from pubs. This time my main object was a sign that was on the table that said 'Reserved'. I wanted it. So I stole it :-) Audrey called me a klepto but I told her I prefer the term 'free shopping'. It sounds so much better :)

Me, Wayne and Matt went then back to the house where Wayne had to pick up...something and Matt packed his stuff because he had to drive back that evening allready unfortuanetly. Matt drove us to a Tesco's where me and Wayne bought more booze and I got Wayne a bottle of whiskey for his 24th birthday. A bottle that I later on forgot at Craigo's house but oh well :-) After the booze run we met back up with Craig and the girls where else then in the pub. I bought Steph the Guiness I promised her for weeks. As long as she knows I expect my chickenwings in return soon haha. I did the legendary Snoremaster interview in the pub. An interview I had recorded and will definetly never forget haha. It was possibly my best interview ever! After surving a few more surpise photo attacks from Steph we went off to the pool hall. By this time the alcohol was kicking in already.

The way to the pool hall was pure madness itself. Goofing off, lots of piggyback rides, me and Craig carrying Wayne and slamming him on to a wooden bench...it all happened. Now that sure was some good fun. I probably wouldn't even mind if the pool hall was 10 miles away. The walk to it was a great laugh by itself with these people.

When we finally did make it to the pool hall and the first booze was served, I fell in love with the thing Audrey fell in love with the night before: the jukebox. I grabbed a few pounds and decided to turn the pool hall into my own personal club. I let the R&B and hiphop blast throughout the whole pool hall. Oh yeah and The Killers also. Needless to say it was great fun. The guys got piggyback rides from Steph and I jammed a billiard cue up in Wayne's nostril. Also, me and Craigo came up with the brilliant plan to steal some booze glasses for the collection but unfortuanetly they came and collect the empty glasses so that plan wasn't very succesfull. Luckily I still had my 'Resevered' sign from the place where we had the roast dinner so I wasn't completly empty handed.

Unfortuanetly it was time for Matt to say goodbye because he had to drive back to Manchester and get up the next morning for work. We took one last group picture and then I walked back with Matt to the car because I had to bring back the booze we bought a few hours earlier at Tesco's. We did have somewhat of a hard time finding Matt's car back though. That was partly because we didn't really come there everyday and partly (in my case) the alcohol. But we finally found it. Matt dropped me off at the pool hall and I grabbed the booze and then it was time to say my goodbyes to Matt but not before we made a pact to visit a football match of each others favorite team which means I'll go with Matt to an Everton match and I'll take Matt to a Feyenoord game this coming season.

After the pool hall there wasn't a concrete plan on where to go next if I recall correctly. We wandered the streets packed with Strongbow and Bell's whiskey. Those bottles didn't remain closed. After Wayne scared off the local street cats with his vocal 'skills' I experienced my finest hour in street singing when I treated the city of Chesterfield on the Marvin Gaye classic 'What's Going On' together with Audrey. It was truely beautiful haha. With Audrey on backing vocals I put everything I had in the song. That moment, the streets was ours. Thank God it was recorded by Krystle. Steph and Wayne began a Stongbow bottle fight...that was obviusly a bad idea haha. Strongbow all over the place. But it did got us some really great pictures. I snatched Audrey's coat and hat and wore them myself eventhough the coat was actually way to small for me :-)

Eventually, me, Audrey, Krystle and Craig went back to Craigs place where we had some big karaoke plans. After all, we were in a singing mood already. After I sang happy birthday for Krystle in Surinam (since it was her birthday the week before), Craig grabbed his guitar and did his thing. By this time Audrey was knock out and Craigo was beat too. As sad as it was it was time to say goodbye to 2 more buddies because Audrey was supposed to catch an early train the next day and go straight to work. She was supposed to leave that night allready and head for home but we convinced her to stay for the last night. Too bad me and Krystle couldn't actually say because because Audrey was out cold. I took of Audrey's coat and hat and put them on her. Then it was time for me and Krystle to say goodbye to Craig a/k/a Snoremanster 2000. That really wasn't nice. It hit me hard that the whole trip really was coming to an end now. Then we took a cab back to the house where Wayne and Steph were.

After a few good (drunk) talks with Wayne it was time to turn in. Stpeh surprised me though in the middle of the night by paying me a surprise visit while I was in the bathroom and by hijacking the bed I was in. But it was all good. There was only one day left. And not even a full one. After Steph left I went through the day one more time with Krystle and we re-lived all the fun we had that day. Then it put my iPod on and a few minutes later it was lights out for me too.

It all started in the early morning of a rainy saturday morning for me. I had to get up early to catch my train to the airport where I would meet up with Krystle (Krystle1985). Together we would fly to London. The trainride went pretty smooth and I made it in time. I met up with Krystle. It would be my first time flying with EasyJet. After some luggage issues Krystle faced, we waited for the plane to board. First EasyJet issue: the flight was delayed for about 90 minutes. After a time of being bored and just hanging around we finally boarded the plane and we were ready to start our England adventure. The flight was relaxed also. Nice and fast. We landed safely on Luton Airport. We were supposed to catch the same train to Chesterfield as Steph (Darlingwish) but due to the delay that wasn't gonna hapen so after a quick text message to Steph we were on our way to London St. Pancras train station and from there on we took the train to Chesterfield. A trainride that lastest over 2 hours. From there on it was on.

When we finaly arrived, Krystle called our host of the meet up Wayne (Wayneollerenshaw) to let him know we had arrive. In the meantime I was franticly looking for a toilet. Drinking 1.5 liters of water in 30 minutes was not a too good idea. When we walked through the station I saw a group of 5 people coming towards the front door. I recognized Wayne and Steph and knew it was them. The meet up was ready to begin.

Of course we were pretty much the last to arrive. Also present were Audrey (Nomad-hippie) and Matthew (Matthew_1982) who I'll just call Matt for the rest of the blog and non TB member Adam. I think it took about 5 milliseconds before everybody was talking to eachother. Exactly how I like it! I walked back to the car with Krystle, Adam and Matt. My first experience in Chesterfield was almost getting hit by a bus who seemed to slow down when I wanted to cross but decided not too. What a way to start my visit. That right there was a sign that this meet up would be anything but boring.

We ended up at the house. Kinda like our basecamp for the meet up and the first beers and Strongbows and Budweisers got broken out. We talked and laughed a lot. Got to know eachother a little bit better. I already noticed these were the kind of people I could have good fun with. I downed a few Budweisers. It surely wouldn't be the last alcohol that was flowing during the meet up. After a while it was off to the pub. Me, Matt and Adam jumped in a cab. Wayne and the girls would follow later. The drinking continued and I was having already funny conversations with Matt and Adam. The pints flew around at an enormous rate. In the meantime the girls and Wayne arrived and I was already in a not so sober state. It was there in the first pub where we were also joined by Craig a/k/a The Snoremaster 2000. That will all be clarified later.

After some more boozing and pubcrawling it was time to go to Sheffield to continue the partying. The trainride was an adventure itself. We didn't pay for any tickets so when the ticket guy came by we had to run to the front of the train. I suppose us shouting "Code Red, Code Red" throughout the train also didn't really help us look less suspicious. Eventually, only Matt and Adam had to pay. the rest of us got away scot free! We had a quick bite to eat at the local Burger King where I made Steph a nice Burger King brown paper bag mask that was later confiscated by Wayne. Now I almost didn't even make it to the end of the first night because when Wayne jumped on my back and I gave him a piggyback ride (because I'm nice like that, ahem) he managed to almost choke the life out of me. Thanks for that bro haha.

Eventually we ended up in a club called The Leadmill with of course more booze. Especially me and Audrey were happy to hear at least one song by The Killers. Me, Matt and Craigo continued our booze cruise there as well as the rest. I think it's safe to say that Wayne left his soberness back in Chesterfield. But he sure is one great guy to get drunk with. I busted some moves with Audrey on the dancefloor, drank some more beer and then heard it was time to go. We searched for a cab and while the rest was getting some greasy food, me and Craigo gave away a beautiful, tear-jerking street show performing the song 'I Shot The Sheriff' by Bob Marley a capella. We rocked the spot! After that we needed to get back home. It was time for Craigo's cab-move.

Me, Matt and Craigo would go pick up Craigo's guitar first, then back to our little basecamp. When he stopped a cab, 2 girls suddenly jumped in and confiscated the cab. Not a wise thing to do when the Snoremaster 2000 is around :-) So eventually all of us jumped in the cab as Craig subtile prompted the 2 girls to 'get the fuck out' which they did. The cabbie wasn't having all those people in his cab so Wayne went (as always) with the girls and me, Matt and Craig a/k/a Snoremaster 2000 went with the first cab.

Eventually, all of us were back at the house. One by one the group fell asleep and I was pretty much the last one left with Craigo. Now seeing how Wayne's philiosphy on the sleeping arrangment was kinda like: 'find a spot anywhere in the house and just crash there', I needed to find me a spot. I talked about pulling an all-nighter with Craig but when he said he would go to the bathroom and had not returned 10 minutes after I realized he was in deep sleep also. Now at this point Wayne was long gone too and Matt was trying to get comfortable on the floor. I decided to scout for a place myself. That's when I found Craig laying in a 2 person bed with his clothes and sneakers still on. I just crashed right next to it. I manged to take of my shoes but that was about it. Now Craig snores...loud! But I found out that if you shout at him he'll be qiuet for moment. So the next day I crowned Craig the one and only Snoremaster 2000! Yeah Craig, those were magical moments for sure! A perfect ending to the first day.

Yes that's right, thought I was flying out of Barcelona on Thursday, turns out it was Wednesday! Thank god I checked my ticket on a whim, weird how I seem to be incapable when it comes to dates (as in calendar dates! :P)

Packed, dried washing with a hairdryer and got on the train to Blanes, then caught the bus to Lloret de Mar. Where I found out that th next bus to Girona Aiport wasn't until 4pm and my flight left at 2pm! So, took the first taxi I've had by myself in about 5years, cost: 40€. The rest of the day went very smoothly, abeit slowly.

Was interrogated by British Passport Control, yes I am trying to illegaly immigrate... to be honest I could think of sunnier places! Thanks to that I had about 10mins to find the Eurolines office to get my ticket for the coach to Chesterfield. It took forever! I got into Stanstead at 3:45, got on the bus at 4:15 and didnt get to the Tarn until 9:30!!! (where Bondy thoughtfully sent me a taxi because he couldnt leave the TV). I had managed to arrive during overtime of the Chelsea v Manchester football game.... I got the impression this was a big deal :P

Thursday we went out in Sheffield with Bondys friends Adam and Craig, honorable mentions to Adam for drinking +20pints of beer and then dancing like there was no tomorrow and also to Craig for lasting the night on Red Bull and still pulling some sweet moves in Leadmills. NB: the Carlington (sorry: Carling Academy - Thanks Bondy) is NOT open on a Thursday and this sucks even more when you are dying to pee.

Friday Bondy and I did sweet FA, watched movies all day, did some grocery shopping, more movies; we couldnt even be bothered to go out on Friday night! Slackers. Still didnt end up going to bed til like 4am, dont know how we did that. So we werent exactly rested and refreshed for driving to London the next day.

We left a bit later than planned, although this wasnt entirely my fault, I will admit that if I hadnt waited til 3am to hang my washing out it probably would have been dry sooner. Still! We got there in the end, about 7hours after we were supposed to check into the Smart backpackers Hostel. The only Smart thing to do is avoid that place, the beds actually have serious competition from the floor in terms of comfort.

My first night in Chesterfield was spent drinking, celebrating and being explained the various virtues of English football.
Layed around for a bit this morning and then started to cook. Got the turkey in the oven around quarter to 12. Mark peeled the potatoes which was nice of him. Pretty much just sat and watch Friends, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and House while the turkey was cooking. Then Adam and Helen came over and we were watching the Man U game. After a while I got the potatoes cooking, then I started on the veggies, the stuffing, and the corn. Anyways so everything was cooking and I took the turkey out and that wasn’t cooked!! The turkey was just under 9lbs so it should have only took 3 hours but I think there was something wrong with Mark’s oven cause we had it in there for over 4 hours and I still wasn’t too sure if all parts of it were cooked haha. So Mark was gonna mash the potatoes but unfortunately he added too much butter and whipped them so much that they were actually soup. It was pretty sick I’m not gonna lie. I mean they tasted alright but just looking at them made them taste bad cause they just looked so nasty. Either then that the turkey was pretty good although no one knew how to cut a turkey so we just picked it off the bird lol. But the stuffing and veggies were really good and my gravy turned out awesome!! So all in call I guess it was a success but it didn’t really seem like that as the potatoes were pretty sick and it wasn’t all cooked on time and together because we had to wait on the bird. Oh well it was still good!! Pretty much just sat around after that cause Ruby and I had to leave shortly after that to get our train back to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London.
So today is Good Friday which means no work!! Whoo hoo long weekend with Monday off as well. So because everyone has a long weekend Ruby and I decided to go up to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Chesterfield to spend Easter up there. We are staying at Mark’s (bondy2007) place again. Wayne is in Asia right now so unfortunately he won’t be there for the partying but I think we will be able to do a good job without him haha. I was originally planning on sleeping in since it was a day off work but for some reason I just woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I was ready to go way before I had to meet Ruby at the train station. When I was talking to her she was ready as well so we figured we might as well just go and meet up there. Eventually we got our tickets out of those little Fast Track machines and then we went on the hunt for some food and for some drinks to mix with the bottle of vodka that I had in my bag for the train ride hehe. Train ride was about 2 hours and we had some drinks. When the train got to Chesterfield we got our stuff to get off but when we got to the door we couldn’t open it and we were trapped. The conductor came up to the window and he’s like, “What are you doing?” and we were like, “We need to get off!” and then he was like, “Nope, you’re going to Sheffield” as the train starts to move. We were just like shit!! I can’t believe we missed our stop! I guess that’s maybe why you shouldn’t start drinking on a train at 1pm in the afternoon haha. So after quite a few laughs and about 10 minutes later we arrived in Sheffield. The next train back to Chesterfield wasn’t for about half an hour so we just decided to get a taxi back. We got the taxi to take us to Mark’s and then we quickly dropped off our bags and got back in and had him take us to the big 24 hour Tescos! We decided (well mostly because I wanted to) to make a big Easter Sunday turkey dinner so we had to go and buy all the stuff. And I literately mean buy all the stuff...we had to get a pan, and a potato peeler etc lol. We were in there for quite some time buying a lot of food and drink and 150 pounds later we were done. We got a taxi back to Mark’s house and put away all the food and then after spending all that money we went out to the pub to get dinner lol. We went to the Three Merry Lads. It was about a 10 minute walk from his house which is nothing but it was friggen freezing cold and sooo windy!! When we got there we ordered drinks and dinner. I got this awesome seafood salad and it was really good, I was quite impressed. Bondy got a fish thing as well and his came with veggies. It came with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. But Mark doesn’t like cauliflower and broccoli and only ate the carrots. Why does it matter that Mark only ate the carrots you may ask? Well it doesn’t seem important now but it has some importance in the nights events that are to follow haha. After dinner we walked back to his house which was totally brutal as it was even colder and windier then when we walked to the pub. We weren’t planning on going out tonight and just decided to stay at mark’s place and drink. After a while Joe, Craig, and Linzi came over. Was kind of boring for me, Ruby, and Linzi as the guys were playing football on the play station and we were just doing nothing. Well not really nothing, I brought my laptop up so I was playing around on travbuddy and facebook and chatting on msn and what not. So we were all just hanging around drinking and what not. We basically talked for about an hour about what we should do to make the party more like a party lol. I can’t remember who but I think it was Craig who suggested Spin the Bottle. At this suggestion Linzi just pointed to the back of Mark’s head and was like “Seriously?!?!” HAHA it was sooo funny and we all got quite the laugh except for poor Mark who didn’t really know what was going on and probably still doesn’t until he reads my blog lol. Eventually the guys stopped playing play station and we started to play some drinking games. We played the one where you have to say a famous persons name and then the next person has to drink until they can think of another famous person whos name starts with the last letter of the surname from the previous persons turn. Then we played another game that we found online called A or B. It was basically you choose two things and who ever is in the minority of the vote has to drink. We also played the game Who would you Rather sleep with which is pretty self explanatory in the title lol. After a while Craig just went to bed and then Linzi went to bed and it was me, Joe, Mark, and Ruby. I was pretty tipsy but not shit faced. Mark on the other hand...haha he was so para! It was like when they came down to London a couple weeks ago and he was passing out in 55. I knew he was really para cause he kept poking me and what not and that’s what he does lol. It probably didn’t help that Ruby and Joe were egging him on the drink more and to skull his drinks. Anyways after that Joe went to bed and Mark passed out and it was just me and Ruby. We were still on the computers and just hanging out. All of a sudden Mark started making these weird sounds and I was like, “Ruby, dude are you hearing this?” And then the passed out Mark started throwing up ALL OVER HIMSELF!!! And he was passed out still. I wanted to help him soo bad because he was passed out and I didn’t want him to choke on his own vomit but I had to run to the kitchen and I got sick myself. I was calling to Ruby to help him but she was hiding under the blankets trying to get away from the sight and sound. I still feel bad cause I really wanted to help him but I was soo sick myself lol. Eventually though Ruby ran into the spare room and woke up Craig and we were just like, “Help him!!” So Craig went to help him and that’s when he saw the carrot bits all over the couch, the carpet (haha this is the importance of the carrots!), and on my JACKET! There is something about Chesterfield that doesn’t want me to own or wear a jacket. Last time we were up Craig loses my winter jacket so I am stuck wearing my wind breaker jacket and this time Mark gets sick on it!! Anyways when Craig saw the carrot bits he was like “Fuck that!” But me and Ruby guilted Craig into helping him as we reminded him of how he lost my jacket and how Ruby went through a lot of trouble to help him try to get to Thailand when he missed his flight. Oh and don’t worry at this point Mark wasn’t being sick anymore and he was awake and not choking but he was kind of crawling on the floor in his own puke....so Craig got him and took him to the bathroom and got into the shower and we were like lets get the heck out of here!! Joe and Linzi were asleep in Mark’s room and we would put Mark to bed in the spare room and the couch had puke on it so we had no where to sleep!! Mark locked the door to the bathroom and he wouldn’t let Craig in so after he said he was OK we left to go to Craig’s house to sleep there instead. Haha I feel bad but me and Ruby just wanted to get the heck out of there as it was really uncool. Craig only has a 2 seater car and I lost rock-paper-scissors and had to sit in the back with all his cardboard and what not. Let me tell you, that was comfortable...haha. Anyways we got to Craigs and I went upstairs to his room while him and Ruby were out on the patio having a fag. That’s when Craigs mom came in...talk about awkward moment! She was like, “Cr..uh hello!” And I was just like, “Um hi” and she was all sleepy and what not and confused and she was like where is Craig? And I was like downstairs...haha talk about weird to walk into your sons room at like 4:30 in the morning and it’s some strange girl. But then she went downstairs and saw Ruby and hopefully she didn’t think it was that weird that there were two girls lol. So Ruby and I were to sleep in Craigs bed and he went to sleep downstairs on the setee. About 30 seconds after that he came upstairs and was like no way that is too uncomfortable. So the three of us slept in Craig’s bed. Oh I guess this is where I should mention that Craig has a SINGLE bed! Lol we were all lying on our sides and spooning and I was flat squished up to the wall with Ruby hugging me and Craig hugging her and he was still falling off the bed lol. So didn’t get much sleep that night and yeah was a good time!!

Lori and I both had a long weekend off because of Easter, and neither of us knew what we wanted to do, so we decided we’d just go up to Chesterfield to spend Easter with Bondy! Aren’t we nice?

So after asking bondy if he was alright with us staying at his, we jumped on the train to chesterfield, and that’s where all the drama began!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Lori and I decided we’d start drinking on the train so we’d be a bit tipsy when we got to chesterfield. We got the train in the afternoon as we both had Friday off. Met at St. Pancras as usual, and went to get our tickets from the fast-track machine. It wasn’t fast at all. The queue was huge and we waited there a while (good thing we were there early!), until we got our tickets…all 13 or so of them!? How does that work??..lol

After that we went to get mixers for the Vodka and Amaretto we got for the journey, and ‘borrowed’ some cups off the pasty man..hehe!

The train ride was alright. It was about 2 hours long, and we just sat there drinking and chatting and listening to music. Then we got to chesterfield, and got up to get our stuff and get off. So Lori gets to the door first and we don’t know how to open it, because it’s not an automatic door. So then we realise you have to take the window down and open it from the outside, so Lori attempts to do that while I’m screaming at her, and then the train starts moving, and we’re still trying to open the goddamn door, and then the conductor comes and he’s like ‘what are you doing???!!!’ and Loris like ‘we need to get off here!’, and he was like ‘No, your going to Sheffield!’…..I swear we weren’t even drunk! But we managed to miss our stop!

So glad <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Sheffield isn’t too far from Chesterfield though! So from there we got a cab back to bondy’s, who obviously took the piss out of us, and then headed to tescos.

Lori wanted to have like a proper Easter dinner on Sunday, so we had to go shopping for the ingredients. We bought a £15 turkey, and the rest was just junk and alcohol..it all came to like £150! We were pretty stunned!

So after taking the shopping back, that’s 150 quid worth, we ended up going to the three merry lads for tea/dinner….don’t know how that works? But it was pretty funny because Lori thought we were literally going for tea at like a teahouse or something..heheh! Like bondy would do that! Lol

After tea/dinner we headed back to bondys in the dark afraid I was going to get raped, and then carried on drinking at his. Craig, Joe and Lindzi came a while later. And then the guys started playing Pro Evo…what is it with that game??!!! Every guy I know worships it! So us girls had to sit there just staring at the screen. Then we decided to play some drinking games, which didn’t work out too well, as no one understood the rules to any of them..lol. So then Joe just made us watch porn, which was disgusting but funny at the same time. Bondy and Joe then went back to pro evo, while we sat fooling around on the internet, and then just taking the piss out of bondy with lindzi and craig..hehe!

Craig then went to bed, and Lindzi followed after. The boys finally stopped playing pro evo, so we were just up watching tv and listening to music. Bondy was pretty drunk by this point, but me and Joe thought it would be funny if he drank more, so we kind of started edging him on to chug the egg yolk alcohol thingy majig we’d bought earlier at tescos. He was gone though and ended up passing out on the sofa upright, so Joe ended up going to bed and I stayed up watching tv (also because there wasn’t really anywhere for me to sleep).

A while later bondy started making funny noises, and Lori was like ‘Ruby, do you hear that?’ and then bondy just started vomiting, but because he was upright he was choking on his own vomit! I didn’t know what to do so just went under my covers! And then Lori started throwing up in the kitchen, so I had to run out of the room so that I wouldn’t throw up!

I went to wake up lindzi, but she didn’t want to deal with the vomit either, and Joe was smashed so wouldn’t get up, so then we bugged Craig. He got up and went to help bondy, but then came back and was like ‘I can’t do it’ and so we gave him the guilt trip, and he managed to get bondy into the shower.

So then we had no where to sleep, so Craig said we could go to his. Lori had to sit in the back of the van as she lost to rock, paper, scissors! Sorry Lori!

So we get to Craig’s safely (he was still para while driving, but we had no choice), and after the horrific experience, I needed a fag..so me and Craig are in his back yard smoking when his mum appears..and im like ‘shit’ and I hid my fag…he went in and explained the situation..she didn’t look too happy though! :S

Managed to get into Craig’s bed, but then like 30 seconds later Craig came into the room and was like ‘I’m not sleeping on the couch, it’s rate uncomfortable’, so all three of us slept on his single bed….all I can say is it wasn’t comfortable, especially because I was in the middle, so boiling to death, and I could only sleep on one side because of my ear piercing, although Craig loved it! Lol…it’s not very often you spoon a Canadian and an Asian! Haha!

The next morning, Craig’s mum Pam came into the room, and we all introduced ourselves properly. She was so sweet bless her! We then went down and had breakfast around the table. Craig’s dad, Stephen, was really nice too. Had a good conversation with him.

After breakfast, Stephen drove us to Craig’s new house that’s he’s doing up. It’s really nice! Can’t wait till it’s done! He then drove us into town so we could go shopping!

Hit Primark! Haha! Was soooo excited (I think Loris rubbing off on me!), I ended up spending like 70 quid! And no, I didn’t buy the whole of primark..lol!

After that we went back to bondys. Surprisingly he’d cleaned himself up and hovered his vomit up…ewwwww. We found out later from lindzi that he’d fallen in the shower quite a few times..lol…and he wouldn’t let her in to help him, so she got really stern with him and he eventually opened up..don’t think she was expecting what she saw though….hehheeh! bless ya lindzi!

He was surprisingly all better and wanted to go on the piss again! That’s what I call determination! Lol……Lori and I were hungry though, so we ate breakfast for lunch…our usual..haha!

Yes I know, another word for couch!! Last weekend when the guys came down for the London meet-up we drunkenly decided that we would come up the next weekend to visit. And surprisingly enough, we actually followed through with our drunk agreement and Ruby and I got train tickets up to Chesterfield leaving on Saturday morning and coming home Sunday evening. So I got up on Saturday morning and headed to King’s Cross to meet Ruby to catch our train. I got there about 15 minutes early and decided to wait for Ruby by the little sign that lists all the trains on the way from the tube station to the train station cause everyone has to pass through here and I knew I would spot her. Shortly after 10am and still no sign from Ruby so I decide to call her. Well turns out she was also at the train station and she was also there 15 minutes except that she was at St. Pancras! Silly girl told me it was King’s Cross when it was really St. Pancras. Not that it makes much of a difference cause they are still so close but I had to rush to get there in time. Just as I got there they started to check tickets so we didn’t miss anything. Train left at about 10:30am and it was 2 hours. We had to text the guys at 11:30am to wake them up to give them enough time to get to the train station to pick us up haha. Was a nice train ride, pretty sunny outside, just listened to music and what not to pass the time. I was warned by Ruby that Wayne and Mark might be late as the last time she went up they (or Wayne I think) was an hour late picking her up. Turns out they actually got to the train station before us though so that was nice. Wayne and Mark were there in 2 different cars which we were kind of confused about but it turns out Mark had to go drop the car off he was driving and Wayne was to follow. So our first stop was at Wayne’s house so that he could have a shower. OMG his house is sooo cool! It is a classic English house and it just made me really happy being inside it. I wanted to take pics but thought it would be weird if I just started taking pictures of the inside of his house haha. And his room is pretty awesome too, walls completely decorated with Winnie the Pooh wallpaper. Love it! Anyways we had a “cuppa” and then we took his car and went to Marks to drop off our bags and so Mark could get ready. Ok now does anybody else think it is extremely crazy for a guy with hair that’s about an inch long to blow dry and STRAIGHTEN his hair?!? I was just completely amused by the fact that Mark was gonna straighten his hair. He doesn’t even have enough to fit in the iron, completely crazy! But it was fun and Ruby straightened mine and I straightened hers haha. But thumbs up to Mark who bought us crumpets! We had some of those while Ruby being the good friend that she is, ironed his shirt (which he never ended up wearing...) So we were supposed to go back and pick up Wayne like 20 minutes after we dropped him off but that turned out to be longer than an hour haha. Don’t think he was to impressed. We went back to Wayne’s dropped of the car, and then called a taxi to get into town cause it was time to start having fun! We got a cab to the town centre and headed to a bar called the Shambles which the guys tell me is the oldest bar in Chesterfield. It was a cool place, started the night off on beer which was a bad idea cause “Liquor before beer your in the clear, beer before liquor never been sicker” which means I had to stick with beer for the whole night haha. Oh well beer isn’t bad and well, I was actually drinking cider. While we were at the Shambles we were playing these little computer betting games that would ask us questions and stuff. It was really fun but I think as a team we were just horrible and we lost haha. After that we headed to another pub, Barracudas, where they served food cause Wayne and Mark were hungry. I bet by now you’re wondering what the hell the title of this entry means, well I will now explain. As we were walking to the pub I thought I would tell the guys about a funny little incident that happened on the train. Anyways as we were going by some park there were a whole bunch of teenage boys hanging around and they all gave the train the finger as we were going by which personally, I thought was really funny. Anyways so I donno I guess everyone doesn’t use this term but like they were “fingering the train” as I put it, as that is commonly used at home, and yes I know it means something else but they all thought it was pretty funny that, that is what I called it. So basically for the rest of the night we were “fingering” each other all the time which you will be able to see from all the pictures haha. Anyways got to Barracudas, had another beer, and then we had to leave to meet Craig at the train station to go to Sheffield to go to more bars and to watch the Manchester United vs. Arsenal game. Along the way we passed the church which has the weird shaped tower and this is where the title of my blog came from as we were talking about baptism. It might not seem funny to everyone, but I guess you just had to be there.

Firstly, I have to apologise to Dilsana (dhussain) for dragging her along to chesterfield the morning after a hectic night out! I'm really really sorry douchebag!

I guess it wasn't too wise of me to go up to chesterfield the day after i had triple booked myself for 3 parties! And the fact that i had an exam that same morning didn't help the stress levels.

Well after sitting (and leaving early) the most annoying exam paper ever (Probably because i knew nothing!) i headed straight to my cousins b'day party (her b'day was the day before but she just decided to have it on a friday..). After hanging around for what seemed like a lifetime, i finally managed to escape and sprint back to Dils place to get ready for our staff x-mas party. 20 minutes to get ready, was enough time for me.

X-mas party was pretty dry, but drinks were cheap and shola was DJ-ing so we made the best out of a dire situation. By about half 10, we couldn't take anymore so headed to Amika (an extremely high-class club in Kensington). That's another story in itself. Got home in the early hours of the morning after a much needed trip to McD's. It was about 3am. We had to get up for 6am in order to catch the half 7 train to Chesterfield. 3 hours of sleep. That should be enough. NOT. Not when your sleeping in the same room as Shola. She decided no one should sleep, and started a pillow fight. That lasted a while until she finally got tired and went to bed. I don't know how long i slept for, all i know is that it wasn't long enough!

Got up at 6am. Got ready quite quickly. The other douchebags (Shola and Michelle) were still asleep. They couldn't even be bothered to get up and say good-bye! I was tempted to write 'Bye douchebags' on their foreheads, but dilsana wouldn't let me.

We left the house at about quarter to 7 and made our way to the station, which isn't too far away. When we got to the station we were waiting and waiting for the bastard Hammersmith and City line for ages!....It was then that dilsana realised we couldn't take the bastard line from Mile end, but had to go whitechapel or aldgate and get it from there instead! By the time we'd got to St. Pancras, we'd missed our train! We then had to pay £90 (in comparison to the £15 we'd originaly paid) to catch the next train to Sheffield, which wasn't for another hour! So much for waking up early eh?!

Got on the train finally, and it was a long two hours without an ipod!!...Both of us had stupidly forgotten ours! So we just sat there. I have this thing were i don't speak when i'm in something thats moving (bus, train, car) I don't know why that is, i just go mute! So dilsana had to sit in silence with me!..sorry mate!

Just before we got to chesterfield i rang wayne, who not surprisingly was still smashed from the night before. He couldn't pick us up from the station because he was still drunk, so had to call bondy instead. We got to chesterfield and waited...and waited...and waited for our HOSTS. They came eventually, and straight away it was off to tescos for some food shopping! Wayne bought us Jaeger for xmas, bless him!

Went back to bondys, and dropped our stuff. It was about 11.59am, when Wayne made us down our first drink just so that he could say we started drinking in the morning. Bloody douchebag.

After settling down for a bit, our hosts decided to take us out. I can't remember where we went or when we went, i just remember drinking loads. I didn't get smashed though. Everyone else pretty much did, apart from bondy.

I do remember going to play pool, and Wayne and I beating the other two! And then craigo joined us and we hit some more bars/pubs. And at one point we decided to go to the cinema, but then changed our minds and went McDs instead...and then we ended up back at bondys watching The Simpsons Movie...and then we went out again...and drank some more..and then came back to bondys and sat up youtubing for quite a while...and then everyone just passed out i guess? oh yeah, there was some random clothes swapping???..see pics!

We got up quite late the next morning, bondy wasn't too pleased as the match was on and he didn't want to miss it. We did drag ourselves out of bed eventually, missing only the first 10 minutes of the game. The next 80 minutes we were ignored by our hosts (can't get in the way of men and football eh?). Man U won in the end, and so we went on the piss again. Dilsana had to leave that evening, so she decided to go slow on the drinks. We dropped her off to the station in the evening, and then it was back to bondys.

Can't remember what happened that evening...i don't think anyone got proper smashed because Wayne and Bondy both had work the next day.

So the following day, Wayne and Bondy both abandoned me. I slept through most of the day, and then spent the rest of the time on the internet. I did clean up bondys kitchen though, did all the dishes, i had to forget that i was starving somehow, didn't i Wayne? Bless him, he got some food on the way back from work though.

I don't think we went out that night either, just stayed in watching episode after episode of family guy. The next morning the guys went off to work again. Dilsana sent me some money through the post, bless her. Spent most of the day in bed again!

Went out that evening when the guys got back. Bondy was too busy plastering his walls and what not before his parents came back. Didn't get smashed, i don't think we drank at all that evening?

Well i left the next morning. Wayne and Bondy went off to work in the morning, so i caught a cab to the station in good time, so i wouldn't miss the train again. Got to St. Pancras, and my lovey douchebag came to pick me up and we headed straight to the pub!

So chesterfield...hmmm.....we saw the crooked spire, Wayno forgot about the harmonica man, so we missed out on seeing him....and thats about it really...lol.

It was a great weekend though, Bless Bondy for letting us stay at his (even though he was re-decorating), and bless Wayne for all the laughs and everything else (and blaming Bondy whenever something went wrong!), and can't forget craigo! for just being craigo!
