From Głowno over the highway we went to Zielona Góra. The way was quite ok and i managed to get home in only 4 hours, which is pretty good score;)
In almost every village that we passed - we could see the storks with their almost grown up kids - now they have to practice flying before they'll leave for Africa in the fall :) [did u know that the storks - which here in Poland are protected and became almost a national symbol - are just regular food in far, far african countries?]

Haha, as i was plannig our route i thought - ok Jegs, let's take a map and find the best route! But as u can see on my pic taken during the ride - not all roads on the maps are the best ones, especially the local ones are sometimes really 'shity' haaha but ok, it was only a short stretch and my little Opel managed it to ride over the 10.000 holes in the road ;)

We started early in the morning but as we left the town was it already 8.00 - in Kalisz (the first and so it means also the oldest polish town) we arrived at the noon! and it was only 230km!!! haha Hm, u should know something about our roads, if it's not the highway (which are really very  few) the journey can last a lot!

But finnaly we arrived at the first stop.

So, as u may already be aware - i'm a freak about metro maps. That's why i will show u some examples of my 'stuff' ;) There are hundrets of in my collection - i collect the official maps (which are the most worth) but also post cards with maps and mugs or other stuff with metro maps on. If u have some of them - and u don't need them any more - feel free to send me it. In this way I will be able to get maps from places i could never go to.

I was supposed to start the next day very early in the morning or better said - in the night at 2 o'clock. In the evening i was going to gas station and i 'felt' that something wrong was with my car. I got off, had look at the wheels, but everything seemed to be ok.
When i was back home - like 22.00 i had another feeling, like 'must' to check the tires again... and i was right - one of them was without any air:/// (#$#%$%@@$#@$@$%@!!!!!!!). I've tryed to change the wheel (lucky me i saw it earlier and not at the time when i wanted to go to the airport). Unfortunately it was getting dark so i was changing the wheel almost in the darkness - but... i did it! and i did it fast (like 5min) haha!

Then i was trying to sleep at least 1-2 hours...

Since the cheap flights aren't at my little airport Zielona Góra (IEG) - i had to go to Warszawa(WAW) :/ and waste some time but... ok, it's travel as well hahaha

From Zielona Góra by car to Frankfurt/Oder

The so long expected spring seems already to have come. There is nothing left like going to search for it:D:D
I rode my bike, first through the city in order to see, what's up there and then to the forests which are all around the whole town. It's the 1. May - so every one (almost) has his day off (some even more than just this one day, cuz in Poland we got 3 holydays in a row: labor day (1. may), then the Day of the National Flagg (2. may) and finally (on the 3. may) Day of the Constitution (which was the second one in the world after that of USA one:). There are many people in the Old Town walking withe their kids but there are a lot o bikers as well!
In the forests there are muc more people resting on the benches or jogging than on a usual day. The wild animals seem to show them more as well to the people like me:).
My final part of the today route goes at the university stud - it looks like the horses have their day off as well. Just resting and no exercices for them as well.

Po godzinnym opóźnieniu w Warszawie, lot do Zielonej Góry tez niestety opóźniony o ponad godzinę.
Wujek na lotnisku pewnie juz czeka i sie denerwuje. I zamiast o 13.40 lÄ…dujemy w ZG o 15 z minutami.
Zmęczeni ale zadowoleni kończymy nasze tegoletnie wojaże.
p.s. słowo 'tegoletnie' to mój wymysł - nie szukajcie tego w słowniku:)- ot taki neologizm stworzony na potrzeby chwili na zasadzie analogii do słowa 'tegoroczne'.

Na razie wielkie pakowanie, czytaj: siedze na kompie i staram sie nic nie robić. Nic jeszcze nie spakowane, ciuchy sie suszą dopiero i tylko Reisefieber juz jest - o ile ktoś wie co to takiego:P
Wylot jutro z samego rańca. A ja ciągle w proszku. Kiedyś pakowałem się dwa dni wcześniej ale teraz? Ciagle na ostatnią minutę, i ciągle czegoś nie zdąże zabrać, ostatnio recznikow... czy to już Alzheimer? Mam nadzieje, że nie.

I hate get my luggage packed! and now - i'm supposed to have already done it but i'm still sitting at my computer trying do nothing, i mean i'm doing all things but packing. Can't wait for the travel, but don't want to put the stuff inside my suitcase. And the clock is ticking like crazy! I always used to do such things two days earlier, but now, when i'm getting older - i usually wait till the last minute and it happens that i forget stuff. Like the last time - i went without towels :D. Poor me! Is it already Alzheimer?? Hope not! ;)

To jest plan na dziÅ›:
1.)Jet Stream32 o 6.45 z Zielonej Góry (IEG) do Warszawy (WAW) - trwanie 1g20min.
2.)W Warszawce zabieramy Maćka i o 12.30 wylot boeingiem 767 do Nowego Jorku (JFK) -czas 9g35min.
3.)Stąd, o ile oczywiście wpuszczą nas do szatanlandu, o 19.10 boeing 737 do Salt Lake City (SLC). Planowane przybycie na miejsce to 22.58 czasu miejscowego. W sumie różnica czasu wynosi 8 godzin zaś realny czas trwania podróży do Salt Lake to ok 24godziny.

the plan is so easy to understand so i won't translate it, i'm sure you will get, what's about. I add only that the plan was like above - but the real life showed its new face and changed some our travel. Fortunately we managed to arrive in about 26 hours.

This is still Christmas in Poland and i leave for a travel. It's a bit unusual here, cuz this is maybe the most important day in the whole yearn, hmm .... meybe the second most importand, the really first one is the Christmas Eve! Over the night i went from Zielona Góra to Nowa Sól to meet my friends and to leave my car there and from there the father of a friend brought us to WrocÅ‚aw Airport. This is gonna be a night flight so we will be in Baile Atha Cliath (english name is: Dublin) in the early morning. And this is very good, because we will have more time to make some sightseeing and find the right bus :D:D:D:D. 

... yeah, the saturday is already here... i got almost 4 hours to get to the airport Berlin Schoenefeld. It shouldn't be a problem.

Pakujemy się do auta zaraz po robocie i ruszamy, w końcu to piatek i wolność!!!. Jeszcze nie wiemy, czy tak jak zaplanowano, zostawimy samochód w Słubicach a dalej pociągiem czy też całą trasę odbędziemy automobilem. Pociągiem byłoby dużo taniej no i nie trzebaby się przedzierać przez całe miasto autem w korkach, tym bardziej, że nasz hotel jest aż na Teglu - czyli jadąc z Polski to ten najodleglejszy koniec miasta.

It's friday, the weekend beginns, so after work we pack our stuff into my lovely Astra and ... off we go! The plan was: till the border we should go by car, then leave it at a friend and then by train to Berlin, it will be much cheaper and there will be no problems with traffic in the city, which sometimes is not as good as one could wish. Besides our place in Berlin is at the other end of town, so we would have to fight with the traffic through the whole city... but we could change our mind.
