Cafe 't zoldertjen is a cool place to see. The people are fun the music is right, drinks are cheap.
The cafe is quite small and a bit crowded on friday and saturday evenings. Be there in time!

Haventje van Urk, is a bit bigger. This cafe is also a restaurant by daylight. The theme of the cafe is the sea, it feels cosy and the food is excellent!

Willem Barentz is a cafe that looks a bit like cafe 't zoldertjen. It isnt placed in de Torenstraat, you could ask a person who is passing by where it is (a bit hard to explain)
This cafe is less crowded then the Zolder.

Dancing Cafe the Wabu is small but nice! A lot off people there on Saturday evening. Good music (most of the time) The people are a bit violent sometimes, just step a few steps a way and party on:P:P

There are more cafe's at Urk those aren't that nice. You have de Start it's a dark shit hole with shitty people. Then you have De Ommele it's a bit bigger then the Zolder but smaller then het haventje van urk. It isnt that nice eiher.
Then you have de dichte (that has another name right now but it slipped my mind) It's not in the middle of urk but more on the outside...

for a good revieThe municipality of Urk used to be an island. It became part of the mainland of the Dutch province of Flevoland when the Zuiderzee was dammed (1932) and the Noordoostpolder (1942) was drained. The inhabitants still have a strong island identity; Urk is without doubt the most authentic fishing village in Holland with its own unique ambiance.

Stay the night in an authentic fisherman's house
Gastenkamer de Roos van Saron is situated in the harbour of Urk, right in the middle of the old village centre. The building's characteristic façade identifies it as a typical fisherman's house in Urk. The furnishings are also typical of 18th century Urk, but offer all the comfort of the 21st century. So while you sleep in a cupboard-bed, the mattress is excellent and the duvet made of goose down.

Relive the history of the Zuider Zee
You can use De Roos as base for daily excursions to the many cultural sights and places of interest in the area, like Schokland, the Zuiderzeemuseum and the replica of the Batavia, a Dutch East India company ship. Those who prefer more activity can enjoy the local walks and cycling routes or take to the water on a boat trip.
