We planned to have breakfast together at 10 am. Daniël and me were almost on time downstairs and had our breakfast. The other 3 were a little bit late and didn’t have breakfast. After checking out and putting my stuff in my car, we went to the centre again to meet Brett and Ket for breakfast or was it lunch?? Lets go for brunch.
We went to café Stoffel and first we had a drink insite. We took the brunch outsite where it was not to cold, except for Devika J, she was putting on her bodywarmer….

At 1 we had paid and it was time to go home. We all went to the hostel to get my car and Anna’s out off the parking space behind the hostel. After saying goodbye I drove home and had a marvellous weekend.  Thanks so much Devika !!!!!!! JJJJJJ

After a crazy day of Efteling, party in Rotterdam and party in Tilburg on Saturday, I woke up with a big smile on my face on Sunday.

Together with Devika, Anna-Isabel, Ket, Jos and Brett I had a nice Sunday brunch in the centre of Tilburg. We really made it a TravBuddy lunch, even checking the site on my little Eee PC. After brunch I went shopping for an hour with Brett, Ket and Devika. But since sunny Sundays are not to be spent shopping in a city, I drove to National Park "De Loonse en Drunense Duinen", just South of Waalwijk. There I enjoyed a nice 1+ hour walk through the dunes and forest, before driving back to Rotterdam.

I took my car to drive to Tilburg because then there were probably enough cars in Tilburg that could drive us to the Efteling. I left at 12:45 so I had more then 2 hours to get to Tilburg. I drove for about 15 minutes and I saw the truck with Samskip -->  Sams chicken. I was directly thinking about the chickens-forum. :D  First problem came up when I was close to Arnhem. There was a traffic jam between the A12 and the A15 on the A50. I changed my strategy and choose to take a shortcut. I came on the A50 again at the front of the jam. NO I was not the course of the Jam J Again I had a delay of 20 minutes but after this no problems straight to Tilburg. The ramp I had to take was closed. No problem, I have my navigation with me. I found the hostel and parked behind it. There were only 4 minutes left to get to the train station. Guess what… It took me 4 minutes to get to the train station. I tried to call Devika to tell here I will be late but no answer on her cell phone. The others told me that is typical Devika… (Sorry Devi).

At the train station I met Devika, Ket, Daniël and Eef. Devika had organized it well, but she did not exactly know which persons would arrive where, at what time J J. We waited a half hour and then I called Brett where he was. He was somewhere in the centre to park his car. The decision was made quickly, let get chequed in. Devika went to her place and the 3 of us were going to the hostel, less then 5 minutes away. It was quit quick arranged and now I am responsible for the others. I signed for all the 7 people in the room. I parked my car in the back and that was illegal she told me. I had to move it and after 5 it was allowed. So I complete forgot :D to move my car.

Brett arrived and we were headed to the centre. Of course Brett knew already a place to sit. So sitting in the sun we had our first beer, it was already 4 o’clock J. Daniël proposed to find another bar so we walked to the centre. We found one, and MUCH cheaper. Then Devika and Joost came and of course we needed another drink. If we should be at the station again around 7 the we had to go soon. At the train station we met Anouk and Guido. The pre-meetup-group was complete and the restaurant 30 meters away. We took our seats and had a drink, ordered our food and were having fun already. Suddenly Devi’s phone rang and there was Jorien. Her entrance was through the emergency exit. J It was her first meetup but that didn’t keep her quiet! I was the lucky guy that got on the photo with her. Her first meetup photo. And guess what: Now it is the most favourite photo of Tilburg J

We left there 1 hour after closing time, sorry but we didn’t know that, and we went after a quick visit to the hostel to leave jackets, to the same place we were this afternoon. Why….  I think because the beers were cheap. Lol . We were having troubles to get Eef and Devika at the table. They were having girl-talk. At midnight we went to a disco just across the street. This was my kind of disco. I liked the music so much and had a great time there. We left there very late…. Someone guided us to our hostel and we found the blue room which was our 7-persons room. I touched my bed and didn’t hear anything anymore J

Day 2

I was still feeling a little bit shaky but I made my way down to the bathroom and into the shower. I did hit every kitchen supply and piece of furniture on the way to it but that is okay. I was texting Guido every other minute wich made the ppl at the hostel go totally crazy but See if I care ;D. After a hot shower I decided to start walking towards the hostel where the others were instead of waiting for them to pick me up. I really needed some fresh air and could use the walk to sober up a bit. It totally worked! When I arrived at the Central Station (in the meantime I heard they were at the station) I felt better already. At the station Lieke (Liekevo) had already joined the group. A very sweet girl!!!

Apart from Stijntje and Manon, most of my friends do not understand what I like about TB Meetups. Why would someone want to go and hang out for a whole weekend with people they don’t know? I cant explain it to them but its just great!! I get to meet cool people from all over who are funny, smart, sweet, caring, friendly and have the coolest travel-experiences to share. Next to that we are making new travel- and life-experiences together during the meetups! I could recommend anyone to attend a meetup because once u have been to one.. I guarantee you that you will be hooked! I want to thank everyone that attended this meetup! It was a great and fun group and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.. But Im sure I will because during this meetup we already made plans for another meetup : See you all at Disneyland Paris!

When we arrived in Tilburg we had time left before we had to be at 't Pakhuys for dinner. So we sat down at the terrace of Het wapen van Tilburg and enjoyed the sun. At the terrace some people changed their minds and decided to stay in Tilburg for the night.

Around 8 pm we walked to 't Pakhuys, were we arranged for the table to be made a little smaller. And then we waited for Devika and Anne to start with dinner. Dinner was very good and the company was great as you can read in my review :)

Unfortunately I had to leave already at a quarter past eleven, but I had a great time, Devika thanks for a great meetup!

For dinner Devika had arranged for us to eat at 't Pakhuys in Tilburg. The people where very nice, even though we where with less people then we told them and the last ones arrived an hour later then we had said we would be there. The food was very good, I had a spicy tomato soup with cheese to start with. Jos and me thought it was spicy, but Ket didn't agree with us :) Like most people I had pork tenderloin with mozarella and mustard-honey sauce. And for dessert I had icecream with chocolate sauce. I had a great time: great food and great company! :D

After much talking wednesday evening it was decided to attempt a trip to visit beautiful Norway the 29th of February with 3 'little planes' and 10 enthusiastics. Taking into account our dutch weather we picked Spa, Belgium as alternativ. Friday early morning everyone gathered, and it was nearly 11 o'clock when we all went packing with the promiss: we'll try again end of April.

One thing I know about Netherland....it's the land of free...unlike some cliche about some country.... it's true...and the best way to enjoy this country....not to mention 'Cheap' is by riding a bicycle...great ain't it!!

Zondag 23 september vertrekken we naar Vietnam met een tussenstop in Hong Kong. In 3 weken trekken we van zuid naar Noord. Spannend!

We zijn nu zo langzaamaan de laatste inkoopjes aan het doen en de rugzakken staan klaar. Nog een paar dagen werken en dan vliegen maar!
