Another great amuzement park for the family and friends. I recommend this exciting park cause you won't be let down. I took my niece, and cousins for an day with the legos, rides (made right from lego pieces, thousands of them), plus shows for the children (but I found myself enjoying their faces just as much. The price was average for any amusement park...again worth it for the bucks you pay. Parents, bring some tighty sneakers cause you will get your workout in going from event to event. If you need any additional info check the website, and enjoy your day in the sun!

I get up early for a little contential breakfast and a swim and find
that I'm being oggled by some gardeners. Then I notice that a landscape supervisor is talking to a man who is obviously his boss. I go over and complain to these two guys.
One of these two guys says he owns the landscape company ('Bob' or
'Dog' or something of like 'Crossbow Landscaping'), and HE starts hitting on me! All about his middle-aged sports car and things -- he acts like he's taking crystal-meth. Yuk!
I complain to resort management and they just want to pretend like this
wasn't happening. They tell me they will take care of it, I watch,
and they don't.
I did not come here and pay good money for poor Hispanics and trailer trash to harass me. If this was a real resort they would not be so
cheap with all the money I'm giving them and the would take care of
protecting their clientele.
I will NEVER go back.

Vivace is an Italian restaurant located in the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad, San Diego. The interior of the restaurant is really nice and there are even tables where the seats are plush couches, so you can recline and dine in true gluttonous Roman style. The food itself is also excellent. I had black spaghetti with shrimp and sausage Calabrese. It was light on the sauce and basically just tossed in a lemon and olive oil sauce. The spaghetti was done to al dente perfection. For dessert I had a four-layer chocolate cake. I'm usually a huge chocolate fan, but I was so full from the entree that I didn't end up finishing the cake.

The only downside of the evening is that I forgot to bring my photo ID from the hotel room and when I ordered a glass of wine the waiter insisted on seeing my driver's license. I was with my family, and they told the waiter that I was 24, but he still wouldn't have it. Finally he said in a rude tone of voice that he would give me my wine, but "if there were any inspectors nearby the restaurant would be fined $2000."

First of all, most restaurants ignore this rule, especially if you are with family and the restaurant is nice. Second of all, it seemed like incredibly poor service for him to say he would give me the wine, but then try to guilt trip us by saying he could be fined.

I ended up leaving the table in the middle of dinner to drive back to the hotel room and get my id. It was only a 5 minute drive, but it seemed completely unnecessary, and I would have expected much finer service from a restaurant affiliated with the Four Seasons. Upon returning to the table and showing him my ID, I wanted to remark that "it was fortunate that I went through the trouble to get it, because I saw some inspectors in camouflage lurking behind the potted plants in the lobby", but I held my temper.

Fortunately, the food and company made up for the service.

Was driving around San Diego looking for a Starbucks but passed by this place and decided to check it out. I got a vanilla latte and a banana nut muffin. The vanilla latte was pretty good, but not as rich in flavor as Peets and definitely not as strong. The banana nut muffin was filling, but a bit bland.

Once nice thing about this place is the free wireless, which, unlike many cafes, seems semi-reliable. I'm actually typing up this review from the coffee shop, so you are getting real-time, live action info.

The vibe and atmosphere here is a little bit odd. Most of the patrons here are old ladies, and everything seems a little bit too clean and sterile for me. Even the little shopping center that this place is located in looks more like an upscale mission/ranch style housing community than a commerical district.

All in all, not bad, just a too-clean, smallville type vibe for me.

Pictures coming soon!
