Today I travelled from Vienna to the Tatra mountains in Slovakia. It was a six hour train ride to Poprad, the main station for launching into trips to the mountains themselves. As there wasn't much in the way of tourist information at the station in Poprad I went to the centre to find the tourist information centre. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a wasted trip as they couldn't help with accomodation for Tatranska Lomnica, where I planned to stay the night.

I lost my Lonely Planet guide at some point here or back at the station. That was a bummer. Not an essential item, but sometimes useful and I miss not having it. I got to Tatranska Lomnica at 4.30, found a pension quite quickly and then went off for a walk up the mountain. Got some nice photos and then went back to look for some grub.

Turned in early because Kryssia and I had an early start in the morning.
