As a foreigner living here in Cebu, Philippines, I find that i need to get away and leave the pollution, and to be honest the rush of city life. I go to TALIMA BEACH. It is just a short trip by boat (15 - 20 min) from Hilton Pier and taking a private boat will get you right to the steps at talima.
It has amazing views of Mactan Island and is on the edge of a marine sanctuary for those of us who love the peace of floating on the water and seeing the world below. I found the staff to be...

July 14 19:51I leave Stirling tomorrow for Mallaig. I've discovered that I really love Scotland- a good part of me feels really at home here. One really cool thing is that i really feel like I fit in here physically- hair colour, face shape, complexion- everyone looks and feels familiar. The people are also amazingly nice and good humoured.I went up to Stirling castle to day and got to see the place where my Grandpa stayed during World War II- it was in the Great Hall. Up until the 50's (I be...

This place was really clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only thing that I could see to improve would be that there were only 4 lockers available for the entire hostel to store stuff in. Mind you, I felt very safe there and my roomies were really nice so it wasn't a problem- but if the safety of your luggage is something you are concerned about than this is something to keep in mind.
Apart from that...I really like this place!!

Arguably the best pizza in London, and for a reasonable price. I lived in London for 5 months and found no better place. It is located in Earl's Court and is relatively quiet. When it is warm outside, they make the restaurant open air. The service is great and I consider it a gem of London. I went back to London last summer and headed right for it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is going to be in the area.

While I was living in London, my parents came to visit and we went to the London Marathon. As a runner, marathons are the pinnacle of fitness and competition. I don't knwo if I have the urge to do it, but I can understand those who would want to. The London Marathon was an interesting experience. People dress in costumes and fool around as they run 26.2 miles. I feel as a spectator, you almost do as much running as those in the race. My parents and I first headed to Tower Br...

Well I departed to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport from Orlando, Florida on June 7th on jetBlue Airways departing at 6:50, which tuned into 8:45pm due to a late inbound aircraft from New York. I was surprised by the lack of customer service with this airline, as I have heard great reviews about them. The service lacked on the ground and in the air.
As I have said in blogs before I am not much of a writer, I let my pictures tell me the story. I love to take pictures!! Enjoy.. ask if yo...

When we arrived at the hotel, it was late at night and we were all tired. Even tired, I could see that this hotel was special. I like the design. It was opened.
We went straight to our room. Wah... our room was cozy. We all liked it. We could hear the sound of the wave. I was not patient to see how the beach looked like.
We cleaned our bodies and were ready to go to bed.

Founded in the 18th century, Wat Mahathat is one of Bangkok's most important temples. It houses the Mahanikai monastic sect and the Vipassana Meditation centre. The temple grounds is large and full of schools and you have to make your way through some buildings and parked vehicles before you reach the inner courtyard. You'll know you're in the inner courtyard when you see buddha images lined up.
This wat is in a way different from other temples because people come here for the interactio...

We visited Majestic Colonial Punta Cana last July 16-21 2008. It was my first time with the all inclusive resort. I had a lot of fun...alcohol is overflowing during breakfast, lunch, dinner and even with our excursions. Our rooms got bathtubs both inside and outside the room, with a dvd player. Unfortunately they don't offer any dvd tapes. Love to do stargazing right outside our room...Just a few steps away from the patio is the pool bar... not the best mix drinks (mojito, sex on the beach) b...

If you're ever traveling near Columbus, Ohio and are looking for a simple, cheap, fun place to stop and pass an hour, Olentangy Indian Caverns is highly recommended. Complete with museum, caves, petting zoo, and Indian-related gift shop, I found this little spot to be a very relaxing break from my interstate travel. Only one word of caution: if you go into the cavern you will get wet (water drips from the ceiling), and probably muddy, too. Enjoy!

Salar Uyuni is probably the most spectacular place I have ever been to. Cruising at a hundred kilometres per hour on this huge salt pan, with absolutely no other vehicle around is a unique experience. On a 110km trip on the pan we only saw one or two vehicles!
The Isla del Pescado or Fish Island, covered with enormous cacti, offers magnificient views on the pan and the surrounding mountains, including Tunupa Volcano.
Watching the sun set on the pan was just awesome. Afte...
