I was brought up in this area , it used to be a private estate owned by Lord Sefton until about 1980.It is on the number 12 bus route from the city centre (from outside Lime St station) and about a 15-20 min ride .
Leading down from West Derby village , through green fields skirted by mostly deciduous woodland and with several ponds and copses .
There are 'stocks' in the village where petty criminals used to be chained and had stuff thrown at them .The village has declined somewhat ...

This was Francisco's last day in Lima and there was something he wanted to do: Paraglading!!! During the morning he took a tour, later he let me know that when they were visiting some parts of town he was saying to himself: "I've already seen it with Yadi ;)" We were thinking about having lunch and hang out until it was time for him to go to the airport. I met him at 2pm in Miraflores and before going to eat I thought it might be better doing the paragliding, just in case, hehe.It was my 2nd ...

Me and my Dad (Terry) went on our fishing trip while my Mum (June) stayed back and done a bit of shopping. We first left the harbour, headed out about 3 miles. We anchored and fished for a few tuna and other bait for us to catch the blue marlin. When we were heading further out to deeper prts, I noticed something in the water floating. I was sure it was a tarpolin sheet. The skipper started to give this speach about not littering in the ocean. But when we got closer, we noticed it w...

Don't let the 2 star rating put you off this hotel, yes it probably needs modernising, yes it would be uncomfatable in the height of summer without air con but all in all this hotel offers supreb value for money and is located in the very heart of Madrid.
The hotel is situated on Calle de Sevilla which is a 2 minute walk from Sol, the location cannot be beaten and I would also be surprised to find a better value for money hotel in the center of Madrid. The rooms have charm, large bathrooms...

It was a lovely day, and a Friday afternoon. I had been pondering on a long bike ride, or an mini-adventure for a little while and decided to take advantage of the nice weather. Its is surprising just how much gear you need to think about carrying... fortunately all my stuff was already backed from a few other failed attempts at getting to france and cycling across europe (which proved to be a bad idea in the end anyway.) Since i was on my own doing this journey i decided that the best thing ...

Spending a weekend in the dutch province Noord-Brabant. That means visiting a boring mediaeval festival in Hooge Mierde, a typical musical in Eindhoven, a fun amusementspark in Belgium and a nice shoppingcentre in Roermond. Also seeing a lot of countryside, small villages and just having a good time relaxing, eating and drinking!

The Hilton Prague is one of the biggest hotels I've ever stayed in.
The hotel has quite a good location within walking distance of the city center.
Staff is friendly, and usually helpful as well. The rooms are standard Hilton rooms. Everything is available, including an overpriced minibar.
The gym is excellent. It's spacious, well-equipped and a trainer is available for assistance.
The rates for in-room internet are ridiculously overpriced. Internet for 40 Euro per 24 hours can't pos...

Well, we landed at LAX in the early afternoon. I thought that we were going to drive straight to El Centro but we didn't have to be there for a couple of days as the rest of the gang weren't going to arrive until the day after next. We picked up our hire cars and then I heard someone say we were going to Laguna Beach for the night to break up the 6 hour ish drive. I'd heard of Laguna Beach but that was about it. We stayed in a B&B which was right on the beach. After freshening up I went down ...

I have been in the travel industry for 10 years and have only been a few places in the world. Mostly the countries attached to the US. On a whim a friend asked me to go with them to Rome. I said without hesitation, yes. I live in Hawaii, so getting to Rome was not going to be a quick task, and given my job and the fact that I only had 5 days off was going to be tricky. I had to make a flight from Kauai to Phoenix, to Atlanta, to Rome. The only problem was that it all rested on the first fligh...

After hours of shopping at Designer Outlet Roermond its very nice to relax, drinking coffee at one of the restaurants or cafes at nearby Markt.(3 min walk )
From Markt you walk into the center of Roermond.
Prices are reasonable, might be cheap compare to Amsterdam!
