People watching,
Finding back alleys and discovering hidden jewels in each new country,
going off the beaten path! Books you might find in my backpack

Most Memorable Travel Experience
Riding a camel in Egypt.
No, asking an Israeli soldier with an assault rifle if I could take a picture with him...didn't know I wasn't supposed to. No, kayaking with my brother in the South China Sea. No, the epiphany that occurred to me in the middle of the night with a sky full of stars - floating on the water in the middle of the south China sea -off the shore of El Nido-Miniloc island. No, swimming at the pool over in Stockholm, Sweden and realizing I was the only one with a swimsuit. No, diving in Palawan and seeing my first blue starfish. No, belly dancing with the belly dancers at a Turkish restaurant. No, smoking my first hooka with double apple tobacco in Istanbul. No, parasailing off the coast of Mexico. No, the strong smell of urine and baked donkey poop climbing up the 588 steps to Fira, Santorini in the middle of August! No, the friday night my cousin and I arrived in Istanbul and thought the "music" outside our hotel window was an ambient/chill club close to us (giddy with excitment) only to find out from the bellboy it was the call to prayer! He laughed hysterically...funny Americans! No, sitting in Portofino, Italy having wine with a handsome man. No, begging United Airlines in Chicago to let me in the plane after the doors closed (because my luggage was the last to leave the plane from Rome); crying and begging and telling them it was my birthday (it really was) and I ran all the way in high heels from gate I and we were at gate K - whined that I had to get back to LA because I had a dinner date and it was my birthday! The doors opened! :) Profile
Too much to figure out about me, too much to try to understand. Just know that travel and my love of adventure is what's in my soul. Don't cage me in, let me fly. Life is what you make of it....
This is me. "Who among you would not cross the seas, traverse deserts, go over mountains and valleys to reach the woman whom his spirit has chosen? What youth would not follow his heart to the ends of the earth to breathe the sweetness of his lover's breath, feel the soft touch of her hands, delight in the melody of her voice?" ~ Kahlil Gibran "Greece was the beginning of my journey into adulthood, linking the country in my mind to the world to which Persephone returned in Spring, the three Fates weaving my past, present and future. It was a feeling best defined by a word with Greek roots - "epifania" - epiphany. A sudden intuitive realization - the moment you understand. ~Liza Monroy

Let me tell you the story of a girl named Joy...she met these amazing people that share the passion and excitement of life and travel with her...these people have formed a lasting impression on her and they hold a special place in her heart. You know who you are...my LA "Core" Crew.
No worries my Vegas/LA/SF/Missouri/Uk crew - you are all special to me as well, BUT these people drive me wild! I love them to death!
