public transport in and around Perth WA Reviews
one ticket brings you everywhere Jun 04, 2011
If you stay in or around the city of Perth, there are several ways of travelling. If you are out of Perth you can drive to the city by car, the roads are not that busy to enter big traffic jams. The other way is to take the public transport. TransPerth is offering bus, ferry or train transport in and around Perth.
If you travelling to Perth from a outside train/bus station, park the car on the Free parking or the paid parking, on one of the closest train stations. Buy a ticket depending on what you want. If you are with the family, buy a family rider. We paid $ 9 AUD for that ticket, two adults and two children for the hole day.
The trains are clean and they have special seats that you can use but you have to give that seat away to the disabled or older people.
On the ticket you can use the train, the Ferry and the bus in Perth the hole day, but not in rush hours.
In Perth, Transperth have the Cat bus. You can find the Blue cat, Yellow cat and the Red cat. Every color have there own route and the times between the busses are 5 till 10 minuts. These busses are hop on and hop off busses and are free to use. They drive between 6.50am till 7.30pm.
So in my opinion, leave the car outside the city and take the public transport.
