pirates bay charlottville Reviews
hidden gem Jul 29, 2011
Charlotville is about 20 miles from the airport in Crown Point Tobago. It is considerd "Country" .Its on the eastern part of the island. Its a total different vibe from the rest of the island , its in a deep valley and to enter there is a steep road to take to enter, the village, which i must say is verry beautiful in the night by the illuminating of the lights of the houses.
Charlotville is a fishing village so expect to sea allot of boats and activities sorrounding those types of activities. When you enter the village there are a couple resturants that sell local dishes etc, parlours, and bakerys and you will see the fisher men at work.
You could get to pirates bay by either land or water, if youre going by land it will take aleast 20mins and you will get a chance to take a 100 steps walk to the bay which is refreshing after the journey is finish, our you can take a water taxi which might cost you about $8u.s it will take about 10 mins but the ride is nice with alot to see an the boat normally will take the longer way (its like a micro tour). Note as you enter the village just ask where you get a boat to get to pirates bay.Make sure when you are leaving the village to go to the bay make sure and bring your own food and beverages because when you enter pirates bay there isnt any food or beverages accomadations. The beach is clean the water is clear and blue , there are not normally alot of tourist there , the view is beautiful with alot of mountains in the distance and forest etc, i really recomend this beach its never crowded so its very intimate esp for family, and couples. Anytime you come to Tobago and you wanna get away and be in your own zone ?I recommend pirates bay,an make sure and tell me how youre experience was.
