pennymarkt is a great little super market thats been my saving grace while in germany and austria. its the cheapest place to find food if you want to save your money for going out, attractions, or shopping for gifts. or even if you know you'll wait for a really great restaurant, but for everyday its the best place to pick up snacks and whatever you need to keep you going throughout the day. and you probably wont spend more than 5 -10 euros depending if you buy alcohol. their selection is depends on where its located. so you may find lots of organic, or regular variety of meats, breads, cheese, etc. the one in vienna was a bit small so the selection wasn't vast but the one i go to in berlin is pretty big and has lots variety. also house supplies and clothes. they also have a good selection of wine for a good price.
