The summer heat is beginning to get to us so we're going to a Colorado ranch and the Dakota Badlands for a change of scenery (and hopefully of temperatures also). There will be at least one photo each day of either sunrise or sunset. (Unless somebody reschedules sunrise, sunset photos are much more likely.)

Auckland, New Zealand -› Dargaville, New Zealand -› ...
New Zealand is supposed to be supremely beautiful with rugged scenery and many kinds of beaches. My husband, my camera and I are going to find out. We hear that the food (ice cream, cheese, seafood) and wine are pretty spectacular too. The only drawback is no native animals – just birds. So we’ll look at birds (preferably penguins on mountains, by waterfalls, on beaches and near good cafes).

The Black Sea and the lower Danube River are places I've always been curious about. This will be a month-long journey from Bucharest, Romania to Prague along the Danube with a sidetrip to Germany (just because it's Oktoberfest season).
