nighttime show at Cinderella Castle Walt Disney World Reviews
Nice projection show on the castle Mar 17, 2013
Since 2011, there has been a daily nighttime show, projected onto Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. It is definitely worth watching.
The show may go through some changes, and different names. The one that I saw this year, was called “Celebrate the Magic”, which premiered in late 2012. For this review, I will talk about this show, but will call it “nighttime show on Cinderella Castle”, in case of future changes.
It starts off with Walt Disney drawing Mickey Mouse, then shows a bunch of scenes from a bunch of Disney and Pixar movies, along with instrumental versions of some of the songs. Then ends with Walt Disney reminding everyone, that “it all started with a mouse”.
The show is actually a lot better than the way I describe it, as the effects on the castle is just amazing to look at. And the music used, does fit into the show, and very nice to listen to, making it more enjoyable to watch.
The best viewing area is just at the end of Main Street. And sometimes, you can watch this and the Wishes fireworks (which has a separate review), back-to-back. But get there ahead of time for a good spot. Keep in mind, you will be standing the entire time, in a crowd of people.
There are a few showings per day. Check the Times Guides for exact times. Included in the theme park admission.
