a much needed quick spring get away to puerto rico with most of my time spent on Culebra -"un paraiso encantado para recorrer" (an enchanted paradise to discover). Here are some travel tips if you decide to explore Culebra one day:)

a quick trip up for the weekend to enjoy nyc all decked out for christmas. it is absolutely beautiful and festive, but I had forgotten about how crazy it gets with the crowds! central park seems to have a different feel and personality with each season...always amazing! here are just a few shots of the big twinkly apple...fa la la

starting to put together my pics and tales from visiting friends and sights for a few weeks in august. it was a great (and VERY needed!) time away to see beautiful sights, hang out in cool cities, and spend time with friends that i have not seen in quite awhile. Here are some pics of Crater Lake, hiking on Mt Rainier (although it was kind of a gross day and the moutain wasn't out:( It was still beautiful), the obligatory Pike's Market shot, Cannon Beach, and some random pics from Vegas.

the people of uganda have captured my heart...they are so joyful, welcoming, and vibrant. the country has experienced so much adversity, but the people have continued to fight to rise above that and create communities of peace, reconciliation, health, and opportunity. oh, and 1 word...chapati!
