well i just wanna write a few words about miami, and miami beach.
all the things you usually see on tv about miami is pretty hot... spring break parties, the beach people, rich people... cocktails surrounded by all those palm trees. really a nice place.... but however after 2 days in miami, i noticed that actually nothing was like on tv. spring break??? there were maybe 100 kids on the beach...not partying... on tv it looks like 1000s of teenagers having fun... going out at miami beach??? got a lot of money?? well that's what you need otherwise you turn back home sober... the prices are hilarious (go europe go!). a lot of the people in miami are pretty reserved... which you dont' expect when you're flying to miami... we've maybe met a handful of drunk people...during the spring break????? ahhhhhhhhhh culture in miami??? well if the art-deco district is the best thing miami has to offer...that's pretty lame. i walked across the whole southern part of miami beach...nothing. downtown miami... absolutely nothing... shopping area?? well lincoln road was nice, but expensive... the bayside area, next to the heat stadium was ok too... that's it??? 2 shipping places... the dolphin mall was ok..but the 50 minutes bus ride was boring.. our "penguin hotel" in miami beach was BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg... no one was awake after midnight...no teenies.... the front-desk guys weren't the best ones... always bored and tired... the hotel itselfs was very nice...the rooms and so on...but the rest of it.. wasn't worth the price.. everything is about money.... if you wanna go to a party you have to a pay a lot to get in ...25$... you only seen lambos, ferrari, bentley cars at the parking lot... all the chicks hang around with BIG guys... it's like a very big high-society thing. L A M E. ------------------------------------------------------------------ well nevertheless there were some good things... - i loved the food in miami... spanish, italian, mexican food...awesome! even better than in most european non-italian cities. - we had the best st. patricks days celebration of our life (irish??) - we spent a lot of money, and were rather broke at the end of the trip Part of the Miami 2007 travel blog |
