Football (playing and watching), Adventure Sports, Climbing, Rafting, Meeting new people, Socialising. Relax on the beach and party in the night, chilling with friends, snorkelling, scuba diving, tv (24, Firends, Simpsons, Partridge, Office, Teachers (series 1-3 only, 4 was crap) etc) camping, meals out, cooking, Everton FC, the list goes on and on...
Books you might find in my backpack
Music you might find me listening to while waiting for my plane
All sorts. Particularly mainstream stuff like Oasis, The Killers, Kasabian, Razorlight, Arctic Monkeys etc not so mainstream stuff - The Music amongst others etc. Pulp, Supergrass, and Blur from yesteryear. I really like older stuff as well - The Beatles, the King, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, The Who, a lot from the Sixties.
Most Memorable Travel Experience
Niagara Falls (Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds)and The Grand Canyon (Hiking and helicopters) for landmark sites.
Floating around Phangya Bay (twice now)
Driving through Arizona, Nevada, and California - in particular the Big Sur, it was amazing. The brand new Mustang, RIP, helped.
Jazz and Blues in Chicago and San Diego Zoo
NYC 2008 - Watching the NY Giants win the Superbowl - the parties in the bars and on the streets after the game were awesome!!
Getting two tuc tuc drivers to race to get us to our destination. Fearing for life going through red lights and cornering at speed. Not recommended, but memorable.
Having to bribe police in Prague - still not sure what we did wrong.
Watching Barcelona at the Nou Camp and Ajax Amsterdam in the glory days.
Playing football in several countries on pre-season tours. Scoring the equaliser against FC Tallinn's youth team despite having been out all of the previous night.
Scuba diving and jumping off 60ft cliffe edges into the sea in Portugal
Running out of road whilst driving around the Isle of Skye - a couple of people might remeber this.
Being in Manchester for the UEFA Cup final with hoards of riotous Rangers fans. A week later Man Utd won the Champions League final and the streets had a different atmosphere that night! Both very memorable.
All the SE Asia meet ups - FMP x 2, Songkran, Bangkok, Manila (+Taal and Pagsanjan), and of course Vang Vieng! So many good times!! You're all the best :D
I'm going to say in advance INDIA with all the HW's as well :D

Profile
A quote to start with: "I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me,I'm very important. I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of a rich mahogany" - Ron Burgundy
And one more: "I have not been short of invitations to other clubs and have been received more warmly by Everton than I have by Liverpool." - Bill Shankly on his retirement. There you go, that's one for the Kopites.
I'm liking this, last one - promise "Here's to alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems" - Homer J Simpson
Well from the quotes you probably guess I don't take much too seriously and I like to have fun, lots of fun! I'm a big football fan and love my club, Everton.
I'm very open minded and always up for something new. I like a challenge and I have seen enough of the world to make me want to see a whole lot more. I'll be off again in Nov blah blah blah... feel free to get in touch if my plans overlap with others. I'm always on the recruit for more travellers to have a laugh with.

I don't know where this came from; the plan was to move cities for a year and a half and do a huge travel towards the end of 2009. Well, several meet ups, short travels, and endless conversations with new friends has taken me away sooner then expected. This is me sacking off work and buggering off to SE Asia for a few months (via some UK and Germany time out).
Jan 09, 2009 – Jan 12, 2009
Chesterfield, England, UK -› Rome, Italy -› …
Cheap flights, Steph's birthday and a whole heap of WALKING through history... and Beckham's Serie A debut that was meant to happen :(
Mar 01, 2008 – Nov 22, 2008
I've been to a lot of places in the UK and have enjoyed many a good time here. I believe you should know 'your own back yard' and so here's mine.
