massage at Fitness First Spa Quezon City Reviews
Feb 02, 2008
Being an internet-nut does have its downside. Eventhough I know that I should not stay too long in front of the computer without taking small breaks to stretch or just move around, I seemed to always forget it. The only alarm that I have to know that I have stayed too long is when I have a nagging backache. (Don't we all have it from time to time?) Isn't it nice to have a massage at times like this? This is how I discovered the heavenly relaxing massage provided by Fitness First Spa, SM North Edsa branch in Quezon City.
This is a spa connected to the Fitness First gym but can also be enjoyed by non-members of the gym. Being a member though entitles me to a 20% discount on all of their services. All the more reason to indulge! One massage costs around P990, but you can get it cheaper if you buy it in packages, like 5 massage, get 1 free. They used to be known for the name BodyCare but has recently changed to Fitness First Spa to establish their connection with the gym. The Fitness First Spa is a haven for anyone seeking the chance to relax in a very tranquil setting - whether it is in the privacy of a single room, or enjoy the luxurious amenity of a bathtub/jacuzzi in a couples room (good for spa-dates with your friends or *wink*wink* with your honey). The soothing combination of subdued lighting, music, and Filipino-inspired decors will surely appeal to your senses. Don't be surprised to find yourself stiffling a moan of plesaure as the well-trained hands of their therapists glide their hands on your tense muscles.
The Fitness First Spa have 11 branches all over Manila. The services offered are body wrap, body scrub, massage (can be shiatsu, swedish and sports massage), and facials.
The downside of the SM North Edsa branch and most of their branches is that their sauna is inside the gym so guests have to enter the gym if they want to have a sauna first before the treatment. They do not provide disposable underwears in case of scrubs or body wraps so guests should bring a spare underwear. No hair dryer/blower provided, but the shower do have a shampoo and body soap. But whatever they lack is compensated by skillful hands of their therapists. Beware though as massages can be addictive. :D I think I already am!
Oh, I almost forgot, there is a complimentary tea after the treatment session. :)
