Most Memorable Travel Experience
Exploring Croatia's Dalmatian Coast with friends, new and old.

Hopping on an old communist train with no ticket, after getting lost in an out of the way part of Budapest with no money and no knowledge of the language.

Sleeping on the castle ruin Drachenfels overlooking the Rhine.

Visiting the Bone Church in Kutna Hora Czech Republic.

Hiking up Mt. Washington in New Hampshire (twice)

Having a beer in a beer garden high in the Alps.

Having a late night on the town in San Sebastian sampling pintxos and wine (and many other drinks) at many many bars with some new friends, for only 35 euros!

Listening to live quartets playing music in the Piazza San Marco in Venice one evening in a light drizzle... Heaven.

Standing inside the ACTUAL 5,000 year old Newgrange tomb in the ancient Boyne Valley of Ireland. To intimiately experience a place that is much older than the Pyramids and Stonehenge gave me goosebumps.

Sitting under a waterfall in Iceland's Blue Lagoon.

Feeling the power of Niagara's Bridal Veil Falls close up. I never laughed so hard in my life!

Sistine Chapel. Enough said.

Riding in a horse-drawn carriage through the Austrian Alps, from a small Xmas market, drinking schnapps and singing Xmas carols.

Hiking the Jungfraujoch glacier at the "Top of Europe" was both exhilarating and terrifying. What an experience!

Kayaking through caves off the Algarve coast and having a beer au natural on a hidden pink beach surrounded by high pink cliffs with the sun entering through an opening. Stunning.
Profile
Single guy in his mid-40's looking for a travel buddy who is budget-minded but not austere, enjoys the finer things in life, and enjoys going a little bit off the beat in path. Low maintenance with a good sense of humor, because life is unpredictable and funny.

Hi Keith - congratulations on the feature! I really liked your selection of destinations and although I regularly look for similar destinations as well, I first spotted Trogir on your site. Best wishes from Germany - Karl
