Some of the Notable Hotels I've Stayed In

Just like the title says. I travel 90% of the year so I will not put all the hotels I've stayed in...but just those worth mentioning or talking about...whether good (to recommend) or bad (to warn you about).

  1. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Manchester, England, UK
Well what can I say, its Crown Plaza, and I am an Platinum Member so I get the royal treatment. Free drinks (alcohol and such) at the Members' Lounge...very nice touch. Would stay here again.
  2. Ridiculously Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Beverly Hills, California, USA
Luxury hotel in a luxurious place for a luxirious price. I stayed...wait..I lived...in this hotel for a month! It was great. The people were very nice and welcoming. It is very close to the famous Rodeo Drive, the Beverly Hills Mall, Hollywood Wal…
  3. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Santiago, Chile
Once again, treated like royalty here. It's different when you are a Platinum member. I got an upgrade to my room putting me in a much bigger room with the view of the landing strip. It is right next to the airport so a great place to stay if you …
  4. Very cheap "Hotels & Accommodations" in Easter Island, Chile
For a tiny island and requiring that you spend most of your days our of your room...this place was perfect. Very quiet location and away from the main strip of town. Next to the airport but with only one flight going in and out per day...it is ve…
  5. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Bucharest, Romania
The staff makes this hotel suffer with the ratings. The staff are not very helpful at all. No one at reception or management team made any effort to make my stay welcoming. To them, the people staying there only meant one thing...money. I was eve…
  6. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Knutsford, England, UK
Way too expnsive for what it was. It is on an English Country side hence the lovely green surroundings but it is in the middle of nowhere. You can't go anywhere on foot to a restaurant or to go to a store. You must take a taxi that have to ordered…
  7. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Yellowknife, Canada
I love this hotel. It sits on top of the hill overlooking the town of Yellowknife. The staff is also very friendly and willing to help in any way they can to make your stay most memorable and enoyable. I spent 2 winters here and they made me a hom…
  8. Cheap "Hotels & Accommodations" in Florence, Italy
At first I thought "Oh my gosh, what did I book myself into?" But the welcome was warm as I checked in and when morning came I was literally in the centre of attractions in Florence. Uffizi, Piazza Signora, Duomo, Piazza Santa Croche, etc is all wit…
  9. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Montreal, Canada
Hotel close to St. Catherines (2 Blocks) and next to other more prestige hotels. They lost our reservation and was not willing to offer anything to remedy the situation until we had suggested a solution. It had been a long day for all and we we…
  10. Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Mestre, Italy
I liked this hotel with the exception that it is about another 5 or so minute walk than its claim from the train station. But it is easy to find. As you exit the main train station, take the street that ends rignt at the front of the train station,…
  11. Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Frankfurt am Main, Germany
I found this hotel to be too expensive for what it was. Breakfast was 25 Euros and it was nothing special - a continental American buffet. It was close to the airport but so is every other hotel in the area. They provide an airport shuttle but that…
