I havnt been to Toronto for a few years now, but all I can remember is that its the best nightlife ever. Limelights was always a fun place. 2 dance floors. Dance, trance and younger musis downstairs and more indie, rock, 80's upstairs. If there is a long queue the doorman were always open to a bribe to jump to the front.:) Its just next to the fire station downtown. Just head to the central entertainment area downtown and you will have a great time. I think Young and Queens was a cool area. Studant land and some really cool people. You can not fail to have a good time!! head to china town at the end of night for food and "special tea" (beer in a teapot) It was the only place to get a drink after hours, always a great end to the evening. laws may have changed since so just go for it and enjoy. My favourite city. I am jealous. :))

Queen Street west of Spadina is still the area to find artsy type hang out places. The Distillery district is more club like. If you are up into the wee hours, head up Bathurst to College to Sneaky Dees. You'll see the all nighters arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 for breakfast... the Annex is where the university/artist crowd generally crash. Have fun!

Great advice, Limelights sounds like a place my friend would really enjoy.

Thank you!
