Most Memorable Travel Experience
I think there is something very special about people who love to travel. They make this effort to go very far just to explore what a normal day is like for someone else. And they rely on the kindness and hospitality of locals, and in turn give a part of themselves to this place. And this exchange, this stepping into someone else's shoes for a little while - this makes them SO happy.
************************ Traveling with a purpose is really wonderful. Current interests include: Microfinance, world trade and economic development. Most memorable experiences were my 3 weeks in Geneva doing an intensive program studying World Trade with some amazing people. A very close second was going to my friend's wedding in Tanzania and meeting a bunch of amazing UNICEF folks. Profile
After some thought, I think my travel style is adventure-lite. I like to go where there is an element of risk, a lot of contact with the locals, and a good dose of learning. Anywhere I can have a purpose or some inspiration will do =) Not really a beach bum, although having been to quite a few with my best friend - tropical places are wonderful.
Grew up all over Queens, went to Stuyvesant in the city and then graduated from UCLA and have been dying to leave LA since I got here. But 10 years later am finding LA to be a cool enough place with some wonderful people (particularly the ones I met on TB). We'll see where the next years take us.. stay tuned.

We start out with a little David Beckham action, get slowly roasted in Temecula, stare at the strange suburb they call Lake Elsinore, and then come home (Joy's house) with TBers!
