Cathedral of. St. James in Šibenik is the masterpiece of sacral architecture. Built during the 15th and 16th centuries, recognized by UNESCO, this unique Cathedral doesn't enjoy the status it should have. Since Šibenik is not as advertised as Zadar for example, I think many people skip the church and the city which has a very rich historical & cultural heritage. It's a great testimony of Croatian tumultous history. If you're looking for some more culture instead of partying & sunbathing, visit Šibenik.

The entrance is 10 kuna less than 2$), if you want to see the baptistery you'll need to add some more.

The Croatian coast is marvellous, filled with places to interest the historically minded, and also those who enjoy eating well!
