Most Memorable Travel Experience
Climbing around inside the Great Pyramid - there aren't words adequate enough to describe the awe inspiring Giza plateau. The narrow passages inside Khufu's pyramid wind their way steeply up to the burial chamber. I visited the Great Pyramid during a time when few tourists were at Giza, so I had the Pyramid to myself. The stillness and silence inside the dark passageways made me feel like an early explorer 300 years ago.
Profile
I love adventure, and I pack my life full of it, but I also like to make sure I take time to stop and smell the roses, especially while traveling. For me, adventure can be small and simple, such as trying food you can't even pronounce at a small boutique restaurant, or big and bold - traveling to a far off country where English is rarely spoken. But, I also enjoy just watching the stars or sitting in an ancient ruin high up in the mountains or curling up with a good bottle of wine and some great company.

I love a good story, especially when I can be part of it. Whether it’s bartering for 1,000 year-old clay bead necklaces in a Mozambique souk, or riding in a giant beat-up jeep through the Black Desert of Egypt while the driver blasts Metallica, or watching the sun rise over the peaks and ice fields of Patagonia, or even getting lost in the labyrinth of passages in Angkor Wat.

I am interested in meeting fellow travel and adventure lovers who are also taking the world by storm. People to share travel stories with, swap tips, dream up crazy trips and, of course, travel with.

Hi Genevieve! I love your pics and blog from Peru. We seem to have a lot in common based on your profile, loving adventure and stopping to smell the roses. Boy am I envious of the places you've been to. Which would you say is the best place so far?

Gen, great photos from Peru! I have so many questions for you because I might be going there in November. Are you still over there or have you returned? I can't wait to read your posts. How did you get to Machu Picchu? What should I bring with? Did you have any trouble at that altitude, and so on. Can't wait to hear from you!

Kristi and I took 16 days to explore Peru. From the deserts of the coast, to the rugged Andes, to the 24 hour bus ride from hell, to Machu Picchu surpassing all expectations - we had loads of laughs, adventures and mayhem.
