Most Memorable Travel Experience
3 actually:
- Having car trouble in the North of Western Australia, 140km from the nearest town. Being towed for those 140km by a tourist from Melbourne. The kindness of strangers. - Hot Springs in Clayoquot Sound near Tofino, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It's a trip of 32km over water by zodiac and a 2km hike through the rainforest to get there from civilization. But the 45 degree Celcius natural waterfall and natural pools leading into the Pacific Ocean are simply amazing. - Watching part of a glacier break off in Neko Harbor, Antarctica. The sight and the thrill of running uphill to avoid the wave of ice cold water was great. Profile
Flying Dutchman, 28, always looking for the most beautiful and scenic spots on the planet. Still have to go and see 6 of the 7 new world wonders.
"The world is my playground." - Guido "At the end of your life, it's not what you have that counts but what you have done." - Rheinhold Messner "Travel only with thy equals or thy betters; if there are none, travel alone." - The Dhammapada "A person, a plane, a journey - an adventure." "Luggage is like an iceberg on the outside, like an archipelago on the inside." - Baggage Tags of SAS (the most stylish airline)
