Re: Is that ture and useful?

I had a look on a couple of the myth busting sites.

Snopes was uncharacteristically silent on the matter.
Lifehacker is doubtful - https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2014/08/a … s-cheaper/
Huffington post says no - http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/c … _n_6430592
And almost all the business websites say yes.

You could try using your browser in incognito/private mode and see what happens?

Re: Is that ture and useful?

This urban legend is provably false simply by using controlled experiments.

And besides, if it were true then travel sites and technology sites would be writing about it incessantly, and class action lawyers would be suing about it incessantly.

But true or not, using incognito mode prevents tracking cookies from persisting afterwards.

Re: Is that ture and useful?

Whether it is true or not, it always helps to get shot of your cookies and clean out your cache from time to time. I personally feel it is true as on certain sites (notably the SNCF one here in France) you get a price, come back a few minutes later and it has changed. Same thing with airline prices, perhaps not on every site but it happens. Another site here (GoVoyages) doesn"t count a service charge if you book between 04h00 and 06h00in the morning. Whether they've already bumped the price beforehand is another question....

Clear your computer or tablet from cookies, this works for me. I purchase airline tickets 4-6 times a year.
