Fallen Angel is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. A bit off the beaten track on Plaza Nazarenas, this trendy, arty venue is unlike your usual tourist traps. The interior is at the very least unusual with plentiful art works which all are for sale. The menu is not very extensive and meals are very pricy for Peruvian standards but the quality of the food is surely worth it. Portions are royal and the cuisine is very inventive, original and delicious. Think sweet potato ravioli and other surprising combinations of flavors. The food was so excellent that we ate there twice as well as once more at it's sister restaurant in San Blas.
The only downside: the coffee machine was broken on the first night we ate there. About a week later, after trekking through the Sacred valley we ate there again and the machine was still broken.... |

This restaurant is off the beaten path if you ask at your hotel some one there will be able to direct you to it. Its the coolest restaurant in all of Cuzco. The food is excellent and pricey according to Peruvian standards but its worth the visit. It has original art work and a wild statue, the tables are bathtubs with fish swimming inside! Its not a very big restaurant so reservations are advised especially for groups of 6 or more. Check out the cd's they have for sale, produced by the restaurant. There's a dj who spins at night, not sure if he's there every night. Enjoy!!
P.S. The restaurant name is with a capital 'F'.... |

We went out to dinner with our guide to Fallen Angels in Plaza Nazarena - never again will be use his recommendations! A simple meal and one drink each cost us S/100 which is about 4 days food budget for us! The food was very nice, but not going to do that again… Into Inca-land |
