Part 4 of my battlefield series is Vimy RIdge. This was a battle in WW 1 between the Canandians and the Germans. Me and my battlefield buddy have been here twice. The first time we just stumbled upon it on our way to the Battle of the Somme. We only saw a few things and promised ourselves we'd come back. We did come back last December.

If you know me then you know I like military history and I like visiting battlefields. Living here in Belgium gives me more opportunities to visit many battlefields from WW 1 and WW 2. Northern France and Belgium are full of them. So I'm going to make travel blogs of all the places battlefield related. The first one will be Verdun.

This is part 5 of my battlefield series. It's to Waterloo, yes where Napoleon of France was defeated for the final time. Living here in southern Belgium makes it easy to get to these battlefields. Waterloo is about 20 Minutes from where we live.
