Last May, I had a business trip to Padang with a colleague. We were arranged to stay at edOTEL Bundo Kandung. It is an education hotel of SMK Negri 9 Padang (state vocational school). It is new, small, and clean.

It can be said that I am satisfied with the bedroom. Unfortunately, I don't know why, there was bad smell from the bathroom, even it was clean.

The hotel provides free internet access. But, I couldn't use the wi-fi in my bedroom. So, I had to sit at the lobby for that. The lobby is small and unfortunately it is not a non smoking area. Men in Padang like to smoke a lot, therefor you can meet many smoking men at public area. So, I had to choose to be online and inhale the smoke or offline :-(

The hotel also provided breakfast, but with limited choice. The menu are all spicy and hot just like other Padang cuisine.

I saw many foreigners stayed at the hotel. So, if you look for a cheap hotel at dowtown of Padang, edOTEL is the place ;D
