Interests

Only while driving so I can sing along and nobody hears me. Oldies (Sam Cooke, Gershwin *sigh*) Rock (AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd) Soft Rock (Eagles, Fleetwood Mac) and a lot of German music - old to new ....
easier to say what I do not like: TECHNO, HIPHOP; RAP and anyything else that has not much to do with singing (except classic) Most Memorable Travel Experience
driving the Antique Route through Turkey and walking through Pamukkale, Ephesus, Troy etc
Istanbul is great!!! Walt Disney World-Epcot Center Mississippi - soooooo relaxing... The best memories have always included the locals of the places I visited. And staying away from Tourist spots can get rather exciting at times. A combination of history, culture and beach is always best. Profile
The peaceful, quiet side of travelling, getting to know the people that live where I visit and try to grasp some of the culture and especially the history is what I enjoy most in travelling.
I also enjoy showing people around my town and hope to find something cultural or historical that might interests them. Or maybe just a good restaurant. I belong to the TRavbuddy OLDFARTS Group for a reason and even though I hang out with people younger than I at times, I am not here to look for partying buddies. I don't really drink, but I still like to have fun. To me, drinking is a waste of time when I travel, because I will sleep half the day away. And there is always so much to see. The fun part of getting lost - ist that you get to know more of the town. Travel is just like staying at home, only different.
