Cuenca, a city of the Region of Castilla La Mancha, is very famous because of his Casas Colgadas (Hanging Houses). This beautiful houses are literally hanging on a gorge and the view of them from the other bank of the river it's really spectacular. But Cuenca has other interesting things as the cathedral, the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art, the Tower Mangana, and beautiful views from the top of the town.
Cuenca it is also famous because of his Holy Week's procession, Procesión de los Borrachos (The Procession of the Drunks).
From Cuenca you can visit a lot of interesting places near the town, such a Ciudad Encantada, a beautiful place with eroded limestone rocks that looks like mushrooms, dogs, bridges, etc. Worth the visit!

This was a quick trip (well, 2 weeks)from Germany to France and northern Spain. We randomly ended up in a beautiful area of France - Lac d'Aiguebelette - where we ended up staying for nearly a week before heading on to Spain, which was supposed to be our actual destination ;-).

Cuenca is a province in the region of Castile-La Mancha in Spain. Between the Júcar and Huécar river canyons, you will find this city with the UNESCO World Heritage designation for its wealth of monuments.It was a wonderful and interesting trip we had here with the conclusions that a revisit is a must. Some of the famous landmarks of the town are: the Hanging Houses(Casas Colgadas),the Cathedral,and the popular Parador Hotel.
