The famous Mamanuca chain of islands, with its idyllic white sandy beaches lies just 30 km west of Nadi. This sublime cluster of tiny islands ranges from low coral cays such as Beachcomber and Treasure island to those of volcanic origin - Mana being the largest among these fourteen inhabited and numerous uninhabited islands.

You can reach there by boats, choppers or airplanes. The most common way to get to this island is sailing (motor sailing). Small taxi boats are available but they are more expensive. Choppers and airplanes are more expensive. It normally takes you 1 hour to get to Mana island from Laotuka, the nearest port from Nadi.

There are three backpackers' and one big monster resort called Mana Resort, invested and run by Japanese.
I was staying at Ratu Kini's and of course, I recommend this place the most. Very comfortable and kind people are welcoming you at the shore with the live music.

I've gone to far from the topic!
Anyway, if you get to the island you will want to see the full view of the island. There is a small alley between the bushes (ask to locals) 20 mins from the Ratu Kini's (Mana Resort) you can reach the top.

Once you reach the hilltop on a sunny day, you will have the most beautiful view of the mana islands as well as the mamanuca group with the crystal blue ocean.

Many islands can be seen including sand bank (visible time-dependently, of course during the low tide).

Check out these photos!
