Most Memorable Travel Experience
To name a few - riding horses from our Ger Camp somewhere outside Ulaan Bataar to visit a nearby Mongolian nomad family in their ger. Sharing a bottle of vodka with the mounted police in Ulan Ude while convincing them we didn't want to go horseback riding at 1 a.m. (well, I did but there was no group consensus on my side). Getting almost swallowed by the high tide in Nice while frantically holding onto my sister's sandals that were too big for my feet out of fear she'd kill me if I came ashore without them.
Profile
Recently I returned from a year long trip around the world and now I face the difficulties of figuring out what I want to do with the rest my life. I don't look forward to the post-trip blues, but the possibilities ahead present a new excitement for me.

I recently returned from a year long trip around the world and now I face the dreaded post-trip blues while trying to reassemble a life back home. I need to find a job, get a place to live and figure out how to cope with a stationary life. I thought writing about it will help with the transition.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA -› Doolin, Ireland -› ...
I'm taking my wanderlust to a new level by shedding everything familiar and safe and hitting the road with a one way ticket and lots of guts. I start in Ireland, with planned stops in E. Europe before arriving in Egypt, then onto Tanzania for a Mt. Kili climb/safari before arriving in Zanzibar. From there, S. Africa, India, SE Asia, Australia/NZ, and eventually S. America. Afterward skidding home on fumes of glory, whereupon I will quickly be couch-surfing until I can land on my feet again.
