Ridiculously Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Oslo, Norway
The hotel is in an amazing location, basically you are close to everything. The hotel also has great amenities, basiclaly everything. Service and staff are also very good, basically cater to your needs. THe upstairs club/lounge is also very very nice. Now the bad, the room i was origionally in was not clean, had a broken iron, and the room was older than hell and looked it was all origional. The …

Free! "Sights & Attractions" in Cali, Colombia
When you are in Cali visiting this area is a MUST! This is the center of the art, discussion and Bohemian area in the city. Here you can find cozy cafes, frequented by artists. This is a traditional place, with old but well conserved houses, where it seems to be that the time stopped. Traffic is not crazy as in downtown. In fact the area is quiet. One of the highlights here is the San Antoni…

Cheap "Sights & Attractions" in Lodz, Poland
I have written a little bit about it in my journal entry, but now I would like to write a review because now Manufaktura is like the most important place to visit in Łódź. There will be of course more photos. But later. Manufaktura is a huge entertainment center in Lodz. It was opened in 2006. The word „manufaktura” from Latin means of course „handmade”. Manufaktura wasn’t built f…

Average priced "Sights & Attractions" in Belize
We’ve travelled in Belize twice with Island Expeditions and have had nothing but great experiences. I loved the sea kayaking and snorkeling – the coral and fish were unbelievable. The adventure style vacations they run had something for everyone in our group. On the latest trip we went by motor boat to Glovers Reef where we were met by helpful staff who carried our bags to large roomy tent…

Cheap "Sights & Attractions" in Kuta, Indonesia
When Asri suggested that we do a spa treatment together, I admit that I was reluctant. I’d never personally been to a spa and never had a professional massage. The hotels we had stayed at in Bali all had spas, but it wasn’t until we were roaming around in Kuta that she finally convinced me to join her. The spas were much cheaper in Kuta than at the hotels, too. We checked a few places and fina…

Average priced "Nightlife & Entertainment" in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Every city has an Irish pub, and HCM City's is Sheridan's. Located in Le Thanh Ton St, it's in the heart of District 1. Guiness is of course available, as is many other beers. I believe the Guiness is around 5 or 6 dollar US, for a pint. The offer typical Irish food at reasonable prices as are the cocktails and draft beers. Live music is played on Saturday nights, though the make shift stage,…

Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico
I have been to the El Dorado twice in the last three years, and continue to be impressed by the very high level of attention they put on guest service. Although the resort tends to be on the more costly side, per night, it is all inclusive. The swim up bars, and the variety of restaurants alone make up for the price, not to mention the twenty four hour availability of room service. Food and drinks…

Phatty's is the closest thing downtown HCMC has to a sports bar. There are 5 widescreen TV's, all playing different games/sports when available. There is also a large pull-down screen for the "big game". Beers and cocktails are the normal price for the area, jut a bit more expensive than the small bars near Pham Ngu Lao, but cheaper than G02 and those bars. The food is also pretty good, consis…

Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Sedona, Arizona, USA
I was pleasantly surprised by the resort, having experienced several cases of hotel-pictures-not-matching-the-experience syndrome. The property is quietly tucked away amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in Sedona. The rooms, and views are difficult to beat, but are certainly on point with the price you pay for the room. I highly recommend the star gazing tour at night, especially if the cit…
