Free! "Sights & Attractions" in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
If you have ever wondered what $84,000,0000 US looks like, this is it! The is the most wonderful library. I am really into libraries. I love books, education, information... A few years ago Salt Lake built a new Main Library & it is gorgeous. I was there picking up books & had my camera & decided to share it with you. Surely some of you are library junkies also... I also had weather background for…

Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Banaue, Philippines
We were able to get hold of this quaint and cozy lodge thru the "Lonely Planet". Though the rates are not as indicated in the travel book, the prices were still very affordable and the food, sumptuous and truly "value for money". Try their pasta dishes, beef salpicao and the banana pancakes for breakfast. Their older rooms are modest, not to fancy and to some extent, plain. But for the famil…

Average priced "Sights & Attractions" in Memphis, Tennessee, USA
Even though I'm not an avid Elvis fan (I do enjoy his music, though), I felt it was an absolute must to visit Graceland when I was in Memphis. And I am so glad I did. I have a new appreciation for the King of Rock and Roll. Much to my surprise, the mansion itself wasn't as grandiose as I thought it would be. Now, don't get me wrong, it is an extravgantly decorated home that has been frozen in …

Free! "Sights & Attractions" in Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
While on a tour of the island we stopped on Maho Beach which is famous for the airport and the landing pattern of the aircraft. Some very large planes land on this landing strip but comes in very low to the beach. I was able to stand dead center to the runway on the beach and watch as a large commercial airliner came in for a landing above me, most certainly a thrill. There is also a bar and grill…

Free! "General Tips & Advice" in Rygge, Norway
A lovely modern airport about 65km south east of Oslo, and on the E6 highway between Oslo and Goteborg in Sweden. On arrival, passports were quick to go through, and the baggage arrivals hall is spaceous. The departure/arrivals hall on public side was spaceous, with a cafe, toilets, and a few check in desks. On departure, the security (which was located upstairs) was quick and swift, and on airs…

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
Iron Barley is a neighborhood joint in St. Louis. After seeing it on tv a couple times, my dad mentioned he'd like to go there. Keeping this in mind, we surprised him by taking him there on his birthday (the surprise: be ready to leave by 3:30, and that's all we said. We thought he'd figure it out once we headed west. But we actually successfully pulled this off, just short of having to put du…

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Phoenix, Arizona, USA
Upon seeing Over Easy on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I knew I had to go there when I visited Phoenix. My friend Nadalee and I went before she dropped me off at the airport. It was a delicious way to end my Phoenix trip. Even though I thought I wanted eggs of some sort (it's called Over Easy afterall), I couldn't pass up the caramel-banana brioche french toast (after deli…
