Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Hurghada, Egypt
Beautiful hotel, a bit far away from the nearest place (Makadi Bay is still a 15 min. drive away). The hotel is very suitable for the disabled tourist. This hotel has a beautiful coral reef at it's "doorstep". The food is excellent and the people are very nice and polite. A bit much russians, but these are the more quiet ones. One thing you should do if you ever go to this hotel is the quad ride i…

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Dreamland, Indonesia
The Kayu Manis restaurant is in the Best Western Condotel in New Kuta. The restaurant is open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm, and also offers room service. Asri and I ate here each morning for the free breakfast that was included with our room, although we never ate here for any other paid meals. The breakfast was good, but not nearly as good as the breakfast at the Mercure hotel. And after a few days e…

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Cali, Colombia
If you are in Cali and other Colombian cities, you'll find bright locations of this local chain. I'd always suggest to try the traditional food, but if you are in the mood for fast food, at least try a local chain. As the name says, their specialty are the sandwichs, but I'm not a big fan of them. No problem, they have other options. Here I tried: Thai Sandwich which is a wrap of chicken…

Average priced "Hostels" in Cali, Colombia
I was looking for a place to stay near the party area of the city: 6th Ave. Browsing on internet I found this place located in the north of the city, which looked nice. I sent them an email, but they told me I had to book it through hostelworld, pffff. Nevermind. When we arrived there was a girl at the frontdesk, who was just helping. She couldn't find the reservation and assumed one of the ava…

The Bread Talk Bakery is a franchise store found in Indonesia and other Asian countries. When we walked by this place at the Sogo Mall Asri said they were very good and that she visits the store in Jakarta all the time. Since we were looking for some snacks to bring back to the hotel, we opted to pick out some selections. Relying on just what Asri said about their product, I really didn’t know w…

Cheap "Hotels & Accommodations" in Harbour Island, Bahamas
We absolutely love Sugar Apple B&B. Rosita, the owner, and her mother, Mrs. Stephaine, were great hosts. Rosita made sure we ate at good reasonable priced native restaurants, and she showed us where to shop for good produce and seafood. We were there in November which is the off season, and she took time to show us special places to photograph on Harbour Island and Eleuthera. Their website www.s…

Average priced "Sights & Attractions" in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
The Natchez Steamboat Cruise is a New Orleans landmark and one of the "most recommended things to do" by tour guides and locals. I won't disagree with that. Though many of the tour guides were somewhat misleading in stating that it was a "cajun dinner". When I think cajun I think gumbos, etouffee, spicy dishes heavily laden with crawfish. The grits with gravy may have fit the bill. But I wouldn't …

Ridiculously Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Oslo, Norway
The hotel is in an amazing location, basically you are close to everything. The hotel also has great amenities, basiclaly everything. Service and staff are also very good, basically cater to your needs. THe upstairs club/lounge is also very very nice. Now the bad, the room i was origionally in was not clean, had a broken iron, and the room was older than hell and looked it was all origional. The …
