Average priced "Hostels" in Jerusalem, Israel
Citadel is a kind of 5-stars Hostel. This trip was first one that I stayed in Hostels. First one in Tel Aviv was Ok, but very old. So for me staying in Citadel was like staying in Hilton! Citadel was doing some improvements, so ground floor corridors near kitchen were little mess but not a problem. The dorm is clean, with new beds and blankets, etc. I stayed in a private room but shared bathroo…

The wheatsheaf in is a small bed and breakfast in the center of magor. They have 6 rooms with rates of 50 pounds per night for a room inc breakfast. They have a very nice pub and a great restaurant. You can choose between fish, meet and vegetarian dishes, and together with a nice pint of beer the evening will end great.

On the M4 junction service station you will find the Travel lodge. It's a place to sleep after a long drive. There is no bar, or lobby, for a quick dinner there is a burger king and a restaurant in the service station. The rooms are clean, good bed but small blankets, strange shower, you need a manual to understand how the tap works, but if it's works the temperature is fine. The rate for a doubl…

Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Budva, Montenegro
Hotel Aleksandar is part of the huge Slovenska Plaza-complex in Budva. The extensive Hotel park is surrounded by green Gardens with nice palm trees and conifers. It is situated at the edge of town very near the beach. Aleksandar is three star rated and all in all that's ok. Most rooms offer two separate beds, a bathroom with tube and hair-dryer, a balcony, a kitchen unit with a refrigerator and a …

Cheap "Hotels & Accommodations" in Sliema, Malta
Spent 8 nights here outside of the tourist season, though the place did still seem quite busy. Taxi from the airport is under €20; the hotel is just 2 mintues walk from the Sliema corniche, 10 minutes from the main shopping area and 12 minutes from the ferry stop to Valetta. Large room with a balcony and TV channels in about 8 different languages, though no facilities to play DVDs. The r…

Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Hamburg, Germany
Stayed for 2 nights on my 2nd trip of the year to Hamburg. Very central location - 10 minutes on foot from der Hauptbahnhof, about 15 minutes from Berliner-Tor (the station just before the central station if one takes the metro from the airport). Had a room on the top floor, though there is no spectacular view - the motorway on one side, the railway lines and offices on the other. A very …

Cheap "General Tips & Advice" in Chicago, Illinois, USA
To get around in Chicago, make sure to buy a CTA 7-day pass. It costs 23$, I bought mine at O'Hare. I took the Blue Line from O'Hare to down town Chicago. It is the easiest way to get around in the city. If you are planning to go to a baseball game, or go shopping to Wicker Park it's good to have an unlimited pass.

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Chicago, Illinois, USA
The restaurant is recommended in the Lonely Planet Chicago Encounter. A resident of Oslo, Norway, I've visited all the recommended restaurants in the Oslo Encounter, and I generally agree with Lonely Planet. Italian Village is one of the best Italian restaurants outside Italy where I've had a pleasant dinner at a fair price. The environment is cozy, the waiters are nice and know their wine. As …

Cheap "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Chicago, Illinois, USA
Went there on my first day in Chicago. I travel a lot to Italy every year so I know a bit about Italian food. Unfortunately, at Quartino's, they don't.. The pasta is undercooked, the meat is overfried and the vegetables are unripe. My general impression was that the food was micro wave prepared. I've read some rewiews on google, and I'm not sure if we have visited the same restaurant, or if the o…
