Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in Whistler, Canada
I have stayed at this hotel many times for my job. In the winter I often have to spend more nights here then at my own home. The best things of this hotel are the size of the rooms and the full kitchens. This hotel has large suite rooms with large comfortable beds and gas fireplaces. Most of the rooms also have full kitchens with real 4 burner stoves and microwaves as well as dishwashers. …

Ridiculously Expensive "Hotels & Accommodations" in New Dehli, India
I ended up staying at the Park Hotel after our normal New Dehli airport transfer hotel was fully booked. The hotel had a small lobby and it was packed with foriegners, and they had some sort of package deal for Ukrainians, which is kind of odd and interesting. The hotel is right in the middle of new dehli which would have been awesome if I had more time, it is right by the Tibet exile Market and…

Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Panipat, India
Hotel Nirula is the preferred hotel in Panipat, I'm not sure why, but probably because it is close to the main commercial interests in Panipat (aka Oil). I really did not enjoy my stay here, but it could be a lot worse too. The Good: Good and not that expensive internet. Free bottle of water appears to not be refilled in sink They give you a refrigerator with free beverages, including c…

Very cheap "General Tips & Advice" in Bucharest, Romania
Covers most of the main areas in central Bucharest and will take you out to the Casa Populari (Isvor Station). Metro stations are not particularly visible, mostly the name signs with adverts and ones with a small blue M. Isvor station is ''hidden'' in the park across from the Parliament. Very cheap with a 2 Journey ticket costing 2-50 Lei (65p) and a 10 journey ticket just 8 Lei (£2), so …

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Kuta, Indonesia
The Baroque Restaurant and Bar is located on the beachside of the Discovery mall in Kuta Bali. There is outside seating, but inside feels much better because of the air conditioning (while we were here it was super hot and super humid). Our first visit here was when we were meeting Andre and Sarj. Since it was just a meeting point, we only ordered drinks, coke and lime squash, and some fries. I al…

Average priced "Hotels & Accommodations" in Okubo, Japan
I stayed here for 5 days in May 2009. I did not pre book this hotel and just walked in from the street to see if vacancies were available. The staff spoke english quite well and after i informed her of our budget adjusted the price for us. We had suitcases, large ones as i had been in japan for 3 weeks and wanted to end my stay in a hotel rather than the hostel which i has been in and the stairs w…

Cheap "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Dreamland, Indonesia
The Dreamland Warung is a restaurant in the New Kuta Development along the boardwalk that follows around to the Klapa. Much of this area is still new with many more shops/restaurants moving in. But for now, this restaurant is the only one. This was the last restaurant we checked out in New Kuta, completing our tour of all them. The prices here are inexpensive, catering to the casual beach-goers. T…

Cheap "Hostels" in Shinjuku, Japan
Stayed here for two weeks in may 2009. Had a great time, the man and woman who own it were very helpful although the lady did not speak english was extremely friendly, and the gentleman gave us help and directions when we asked him and could not be happier to help. The rooms were clean although the lack of natural light(due to the sliding windows being painted over) made the rooms feel quite surre…

Average priced "Restaurants, Cafes & Food" in Vilvoorde, Belgium
Vilvoorde is an industrial city just next to the Brussels Airport in Zaventem, but it also has a wonderful small town square or Grote Markt almost completely hidden away from the people passing this city. On the middle of the square you find this great restaurant where they have specialized in horse meet. I know it might not be popular with everyone but the meet here is outstanding. When I…
