We visited Adrians aunty's lovely new home at Blackheath in the mountains and being in Blackheath we had to visit Charles Darwin's hang out, Lovetts Leap. We got some great afternoon shots which I hope you'll enjoy (check out the panoramic pic). There's a pic of Aunty Anne with Adrian and another w…

Was a great experience, Dressed in protective clothing and safety-harnessed to external walkways 260 metres above the city on the glass-floored viewing platform. Defiently puts you out of your comfort zone.

Well we've been based in Grenfell now for a few months which is about an hour and a half west of Bathurst. A pilgrimage that should be made by all Australians at least once.
A work mate from Port Augusta came with us. And within 10 minutes of being in the gate we were at the bottom of conrod strai…

There's a lot back and forth about the infamous "Road to Hana". There are plenty of people out there that HATE it. It's dangerous, windy, prone to motion sickness and all sorts of other things. My fierce recommendation is that you take a bus tour - just to get a taste of it - definitely leave the d…

Here's an interesting little tidbit I've learned about Tico-talk... The other day, as I wrote earlier, Noemy's neighbor brought over Caribbean food for lunch, complete with rice and beans, chicken in a spicy sauce, a macaroni salad, and maduros (fried plantains). As we ate happily, Noemy kept sa…

I was working on an old steam ship, a tramp steamer, in 2008. We passed thru the Suez Canal 3 times in 2008 shipping food for the UN to the Middle East and Africa. We loaded the bags of grain and large cans of cooking oil in Lake Charles, Louisiana and sailed through the Gulf of Mexico around Flori…

We arrived at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris on the morning of Oct 22nd. We purposely chose a hotel near Orly airport for our stay because our flight leaving Paris two days later departed from Orly, so it would be a simple matter of riding the hotel’s free airport shuttle on the morning w…

It's been a long time since I've been out on a range with some customers. I have 2 purposes for doing so - marketing demonstrations and training. Marketing demos, such as the shoot in Belize during April '08 shows how I run the range, but there is no objective other than letting potenti…

We left Nagoya just around check-out time and headed to Nagoya Station to catch the shinkansen to Osaka. But before that, we were hungry - need food.
We skipped breakfast and it was close to lunch. After getting our reserved seat tickets, giving us ample time for lunch, we walked around the Nagoya…

During the summer of 2008 I signed on to work on an old steam ship, a tramp steamer. Although it was a US flagged ship, the company had a contract with the United Nations to haul grain and cooking oil to needy people in the Middle East and Africa. The shipping company also hauled military ca…
