Firstly, thanks for the words of welcome. It's nice to find a site like this. I keep very busy with work, so don't take offense if I can't reply to every request, but if we share some direct interests I hope we can chat. I will try to add as and when I can.

All I can say is WOW!!!  This city has an energy of it's own.  We stayed at the Straosphere Hotel. I'll have a review on it.  You can park in their garage, which cost nothing. We checked in and made our way thru the live music, card tables, and slot machines to the elevators. Up to the 15th flloor.  The room was nothing to brag about but it was cool and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We cleaned up after visiting the Hoover Dam and headed up to the top of the Strato...

My little sister was visiting me from New Jersey. Her flights were in and out of Dallas/Ft. Worth airport, she had to catch a Sunday morning flight so we decided to spend the weekend in Dallas. We did not have any set plans we just figured that we would wing it. We arrived on Friday evening at around 8 p.m., we decided to eat dinner down in the West End. The West End is a few blocks of restaurants and bars. We ate at a cajun placed called Gators and sat at their rooftop seating. Saturday ...

An older man with a stick simply stands there with a small pail, whimpering soundlessly. Passing these wraith-like figures are the substantial, muscular, Western backpackers who home in on these places, looking for cheap accommodation while sporting designer shades that would cost a street mender six months' wages.  Poverty is corrosive, but it's always worse when it is found side by side with wealth. Occupants of shanty towns in the Philippines or South America are as poor as this but ...

I already assumed that pandanon is better than Malapascua or Bantayan because of the pictures ive seen but when i got there i was none too impressed.

Across the USA in 31 Days and over 8500 Miles on my Harley Sportster. One of the most amazing trips I've ever taken. Left home with 2000 dollars a 20 yr old motorcycle, and my fingers tightly crossed! This trip let me see just what the US really is from coast to coast, changing my opinion about people. (For every one nasty person you meet out there you meet TEN NICE PEOPLE)

4:30 AM - My stretched limo pulls up ready to drive me to La Guardia Intl Airport. Eric, the driver, has been working all night and got finished with a Bachelorette group before getting me. It was nice to ride in style. :)   6:00 AM - I check into my United Airlines flight and wait for my 0730 boarding. 7:30 AM - After announcing for a while for people not to come up for a seat number to be assigned (they'll call you by name), UA starts boarding my flight. The Last Three Days

*Sigh* This is it, the last remaining days of my soul searching time in my home country. I spent this time mostly meeting up with friends.  In the process I also was so happy when I unexpectedly found a DVD copy of my favorite Filipino movie and bought me some soundtracks of my favorite movies. Back at home, I tried to make it feel like it's just my usual routine of going back to Singapore after a quick stay but it felt different this time, because I know that with this l...
