Got up, had breakfast and packed everything up. Made our way to a giant Sequoia Tree park and hiked about a mile to see them. Stopped off for lunch (leftover Pizza !) and onto San Francisco.
Arrived about 4:30pm and said goodbye to those not staying the night. Met up with Ricky, Jodie, Mel, Lizzie, Mark, Lucie and Ryan later and got taxis to Fishermans Wharf for the Sunset Cruise. The cruise was really good. Said bye to Ricky.
Monday 24th - moved to my new hote...

I will be taken part in a 4-week study abroad program in Grenoble, France. While there I will be visiting places all over France as well as Amsterdam and if there's time Milan, Italy. I will be creating another travel blog during or after my trip, to wrap up everything that went on during my adventure.

In a way, it doesn't really seem like I've traveled a lot, but I guess I have - at least in the past two years. It started with a trip to Hawaii in August, then a trip to Dublin the following spring because I thought my trip to Syria was cancelled. It wasn't, so I ended up going there as well. And how often do I get to the Middle East? I intended to make the most of it - insofar as my meager savings would allow - so I went to Istanbul and Beirut over the Eid al-Adha and Christmas holiday seas...

Although I only experienced the port of Kusadasi, I was enthralled by this visit. Of course I visited Epehesus which was amazing and very much intact. One of my greatest muscial souvenirs was an awesome CD of Turtikish club music. I could see my self returning here soon :) Boreks and Raki!

We started hitting our way going to Rome at almost midnight; a schedule we chose for practicality and convenience reasons. As soon as we locate our private cabin in the train and after putting away our luggage overhead, my eye lids surrendered to the heaviness of it. Within seven hours of travel from Venice to Rome in that wee hours of December, our bodies found a much needed rest, albeit temporarily.
With the train starting to slow down, I was able to glance at the terminal signa...

Well I am officially experiencing the East Coast humidity...although mixed with the rain we have been getting makes it interesting (hot rain is something we don't get in Seattle). My apartment-mates are really cool--Sara, Kristi, and my roommate Lauren--and we are starting to make the apartment feel more like a home. I'm getting to know the people in the program as well and am excited for when the group forms its own bond, no longer just a group of Pepperdine students but a group of friends. ...

After back from pokara, we searched for a new guesthouse to stay. Taxi driver tried to send us somewhere he knew but we just wanted him to drive and searched the nice one then we passed Annapurna Hotel. Ale told him to stopped and went to check it. I waited for him in the taxi. He came and said "it's nice". Five stars hotel ... and quite expensive. But as we're tried from Pokara and as Ale was still sick so it's good to stay in a good place just one night :)

Don't you wonder how people will react to your trip? Who will be supportive and who will be discouraging? (My blog's main goal is to help others planning similar trips)
I expected that no one would really care because it is not about them. They would be like, "Oh, that's nice." Of course, the families we interact with daily would have adjustments, but for most people- who cares?
Maybe it's the survival instinct that keeps us concerned with others' behavio...

I was walking around Belfast and happened upon a pub not too far from the city center. Inside, the people were singing - exactly the sort of atmosphere I wanted to experience, so I went in. They were actually singing "This Land Is My Land" (which I always thought was just an American song). Afterwards, they started singing stuff more Irish, which basically cursed the Orange men and imagined a day when their land would be free. It was absolutely fantastic. The pub was small - though I've been ...

These pictures are of the gardens and pools at the hotel. My niece and nephew had a great time at the pool. I did, too. I love relaxing and getting some sun. The pool had a slide that my niece and nephew got to enjoy. I was waiting for them at the bottom, since they would not be able to stand. My nephew came first and I caught him ok. Then my niece came sliding down. Not only was she coming down, but she was coming down fast! She was honestly a blur! When she hit the ...

Minsk is the city where I lived for 5 years & never stopped admiring it. Always clean & green it attracts the attention as a very welcoming & friendly place. And I’m sure, you won’t stay indifferent towards the pleasant smiles of its citizens.

Around four weeks I received an email from an old friend / colleague saying she was going to be coming to the Netherlands for a month. Did I want to go to Barcelona? Well, to be honest, I've been there twice now...so I basically said no. "What abour Rome?" "No thanks, twice as well...what about Stockholm?" "Hm...Why not!" So Stockholm it was to be (she's off to Barcelona this weekend still while I'm off to Asia). Checked my trusty Ryanair and found re...
