actually all pubs, restaurants and bars serve good and cheap local beer, and the best brands are:urquell pilsner and budvar.
i recommend the restaurants and bars around castle.
hint:if you are thirsty don't get water,it's more expensive than beer:)

Some places are more expensive than others. The bars along the squares and the castle area are much higher than elsewhere. I don't know the name of the restaurant, but its on Kaprova heading toward the Charles Bridge on the left side just past the Starometska metro station that's really good. It's on the corner.

No need to fuss with a menu and make any hard decisions, as they only serve one beer: Pilsner Urquell. It was cold and delicious . I even forgot about the smoke a little bit and we chatted with our tablemates… The castle tour that nearly turned into a pub crawl.

The evening was fun… Drinking far too much fabulous vodka and beer at night. There’s a really cool bunch of people staying at the hostel, at any point you can wander downstairs to the common area and have a beer with another random trading stories and laughing about nothing. And again, good alcohol = zero hangover… Hockey, picnics and parties... Where else but back to Prague...!

The bar upstairs opened at 7pm and so I headed there for a beer hoping to find some guys ready to hit the town. I grabbed a beer from the bar and began to speak to a group of Lads from New York. They told me they were heading out on a bar crawl however the crawl cost… Flight and Fun
