I too love this place! Mar 26, 2011
I agree with everything the previous reviewer said except for one point I want to clarify:

You don't automatically get to "return to the buffet table as many times as you choose" unless you upgrade to the unlimited option for about 5 or so bucks. The normal order is a single trip through the buffet where most people have learned to magically balance unbelievable amounts of proteins, carbs and veggies to get the biggest bang for their buck. Keep in mind that you can always upgrade later on if you want.

My Dad always orders the all-you-can-eat right from the start so he can focus on the meats on one trip and then the seafood on another.

Also keep in mind that your plate will ultimately only be as good and/or tasty as you create it, since all they're basically doing is cooking it for you! They do have many recipe cards available to help you, so you don't end up with a plate of bland or over-seasoned mixed moooosh! I've seen people mix what they thought would be a certain taste/plate only to be disappointed with their own lack of seasoning expertise. Garbage in = garbage out!

A fun place nonetheless and highly recommended!

Mongolian BBQ! May 11, 2010
BD's Mongolian Grill has to be one of my all time favorite restaurants to visit. The food is great, and the experience is so fun! If you have never been to a mongol grill like this, you may be wondering what the big deal is! Basically, you make your own dinner.

When you walk in there is a large buffest of fresh veggies, raw meats, and delicious and spicy sauces. You are given a bowl by your waitress and set off in search of the perfect stir fry. You can fill you bowl with whatever you like. I usually pile high chicken, sausage, brocoli, green peppers, and sprouts. Near the end of the buffet is a huge selection of spices and sauces. Mix your own sauce. Don't be afraid to mix and match. I pour on tereyaki, spicy buffalo, and general tsao's sauce. There are also dry spices you can add.

After crafting a delicious bowl of raw ingredients, bd's fun grill masters will drill it up on their huge circular grill right in front of you. They bang the gong, flip their utensils, and crack eggs behind their backs! Watching them cook your food is a great part f the experience. You can return to the buffet table as many times as you choose, just don't ask for a to go box!

bd's also offers a salad and soup bar, but in my opinion you have to be crazy to partake in either of these items. Save room for the great stir fry! The buffet ofers a lot of great options and is friendly to gluten free and vegan diners. Be sure to tell the cook of any allergies and they will cook your meal separate. Delivered to your table is brown and white rice as well as home made tortillas!

If youre looking for a great place to relax with an upbeat casual atmosphere, BD's Mongolian Grill has that very settling family atmosphere. It is in the heart of the trendy LoDo district, and yet it is laid back and cool! Im a regular to BD's, and the great food and plethora of options are what keep me coming back. Well that and their catchy t-hirt slogans. "We do it on a grill" and they do it good!!
