There are some nice bars and pubs to hang-out in rome
1. Trinty college near via del corso
2. side road in the front piazza venzia
3. over draft in capio di fiori
and off-course in the north of piazza Navona at night

jwilsonwsu says: We walked everywhere, even at night. I would just suggest not taking any dark streets and walk with another person, but that is just common sense. It really depends on where you stay though. We stayed in the city, so everything was really within walking distance.
