b5 Club/Bar and Bistro, Reykjavik Reviews
b5 Club/Bar and Bistro, Reykjavik Oct 10, 2010
Located in the center of reykjavik at bankastræti
near the main street of laugavegur - where most of the bars and restaurants and shops in rekjavik are concentrated lies b5 club and bistro.
it is not hard to miss on a weekend - specially on saturday night as most of the young population of reykjavik are lining up the entrance of this club. It's always full that bouncers had to control the crowd from getting in and also for the young people who start brawls.
the interior is very sleek with a curious shelve full of books (i dont even know what they are there for). The one thing thats very peculiar (inside the club) is that all the people are blond lol - well, iceland is a homogenous country so if youre a foreigner, asian (like me), dark haired or brown skinned - you would definitely stick out and not very hard to miss! So if youre into blondes, blue eyed and pale skinned men and women - definitely go here in b5.
the interior is very sleek and the drinks are damn expensive - it will cost you a fortune lol (thank god i didnt spent any cent for beers as the guys bought beers for me) the music is well... A bit dissapointing for the club coz i thought they play deep house - like deep dish, progressive trance and drum and bass stuff but instead some mixture of pop and disco from the 2000's, 90's and 80's kinda ok though.
i recommend having a good time at b5 club after exploring iceland because it is a nice way to enjoy the hardships of camping in the outdoors and be actually back in civilization! Lol
