Wow! I did it! I stood at the very peak of the highest mountain in Germany. Zugspitze stands 2,962 meters high. We took a train and cable car up, and then climbed over to the peak. Check out the photos and you will see why I am proud of myself : )

Germany is beautiful, and the people are very nice. I am already enjoying living here. The mountains are amazing, and I love the way they paint the houses. So charming. Europe, in general, is also dog friendly. Hubby and I went into a local McDonald's for coffee, with dog in tow, and instead of being asked to leave, a very kind employee brought a bowl of water for her. The local mini Oktoberfest was great, we enjoyed the afternoon with some wonderful people.
