Shanghai is a bustling metropolis so full of life and action there is hardly time to stop. There are just so many things to do amongst all the fabulous eating places and great night time hangouts. First things first vegos and meaties alike will love Element Fresh, the food is amazing and they make some of the best smoothies on the planet. To get there just say a Por-ta-mun to a cabby but make sure he knows where it is, just keep hailing till you get one that does. From there, there is a foreign supermarket is diagonally opposite and you are minutes away from some great shopping places. The Bund is an absolute must – check out M on the Bund – not cheap and you will have to make a reservation. Xin-tian-Di is another hot spot with your usually eateries and pubs and bars.

The people here do not speak English and it is not easy to get around.  I quickly learned this on my airport shuttle to the hotel, where the only Mandarin Phrase I learned was my destination.  Naturally that wasn't enough and the woman in charge of the shuttle was yelling at me in Mandarin about God only… Hot and Sweaty Like 1 Billion Others

So we walked around the area around the train station looking for some food.  First we had a breakfast of what tasted like a pizza crust and some bread thing, and then we had lunch a little bit later at a restaurant.  Finally we got on our train… Back in Shanghai

We arrived in Shanghai around 7:30am and took the metro to find a hotel.  We wrote down a hostel we found online that we wanted to find so we went to look for it, but after walking around in the pouring rain in Shanghai for a long… rainy day in shanghai
