Without doubt the best country in the world (so far!). It's the second largest country in South America (after Brazil) The people are happy and approachable, the food is wonderful (steaks are fabulous) and beers and wines are perfect here.
The Mendoza region of Argentina accounts for over 70% of all Argentinian wine so it shouldn't be missed. Buenos Aires is cosmopolitan without pretention. Busy without claustrophobia. Walking galore. Mountaineering opportunities. Nature trips. Voyages to the Antarctic, and sooooo much more...

We managed to time our 2-night visit on the weekend so we enjoyed having a meander around the hippie market in La Boca on Saturday and then the San Telmo Sunday market. They were BBQing, playing soccer, flying kites, and riding dirt bikes in the grass along the side of the freeway. It was as if they were driving and suddenly decided to pull over for some family fun. It brought a smile to my face as my taxi drove me from the airport to my apar...

25 hours after departing KL (and 1-hour stop overs in Joburg and Cape Town) MH201 finally landed at Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini in Buenos Aires at 216PM, February 13, 2008.
The sky was a perfect blue and the sun was all out. The sweltering heat embraced me as soon as I exited the airport. The exact opposite case when I first touched down in Ezeiza back in June 2007. Back then, it was raining and chilly, the vibe was totally dark and gloomy.
I wasn't able to send out blog entries in ...
