I went rafting in the Grand Canyon June 6 -12. Some of the highlights of the trip were: -THE CANYON!! Incredible beauty! -seeing the Space Shuttle and ISS fly over twice. -seeing spotted skunk for the first time...twice! The joys of having a restroom with no doors. -great food provided by the crew of Arizona River Rafters -catching some nice sized rainbow trout-yum! -swimming in the blue water of the Little Colorado River, Havasupai Creek

I hiked down Gold Strike Canyon from near the Hacienda Casino to the Colorado River. On the way there I saw 12 desert big horn sheep. On the way back out I soaked in the Gold Strike Hot Springs. I wanted to go to the Sauna Cave (135F air temp)...but would have had to swim in the 52F water.

I lead a group of 9 other people on a canoe/kayak trip from just below Hoover Dam to Willow beach Feb 16-18th. The trip went very well and the weather during the day was perfect for being on the water.
