One of the greatest joys of becoming a dad is to get to take my kids on my adventures. My wife and I have had to learn how to adapt our travel now that we have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. But we still go to crazy places, and have a great time. Here's some tips we've learned along the way.

This is a summary of my trip from Kabul to Mazar, across the border into Uzbekistan to Bukhara, and from there into Turkmenistan. After visiting Merv and Ashgabad, we headed south into Western Afghanistan, to Herat, from where we flew home to Kabul
