hello everybody my name is marco and i live in rome.....i'm writing this review just to help everybody who wants to see the real rome.
sure a good way to discover rome is renting a guide that explain u everything u have to know about rome history and its monuments but it could be quite expensive...so i suggest just to walk in peace and relax through the citycenter behind via del corso and largo argentina;there u could see the real old rome( quite unknown even by its inhabitants). u can walk through the alleys with its shops and markets. then u can visit trastevere that it's the true rome....dont go just to the monuments signed on the travel guide but let u get inspired by alleys and follow the cats that are the true rome inhabitans..a last suggestion try avoid the typical restaurants in the center 'cause they aren't typical at all but made just for turist and food isn't good but really expensive....and if u come here during the summer don't miss the opportunity of taking a "grattachecca" a delicious and typical sweet of rome made by ice and fresh syroup.u can buy it in the little kiosks on the streets ' corner...if u want more suggestions just ask me....marco

What part of rome would you recommend to stay in? Do you think renting an apartment would be better than getting a hotel?

How expensive would it be to rent a guide?
I am going to Rome in March with my boyfriend and am trying to figure out the best way to see everything.

Where do you think is a nice place to go for a walk at night? Or areas with a lot going on? Or places that are somewhat romantic?
