Zuiderzeemuseum Enkhuizen Reviews
Zuiderzeemuseum Enkhuizen Dec 04, 2008
This museum is very nice if you like history. This is very different from the most museum. You can walk in the museum park and see how the people worked and lived. The sea was for the most people in Enkhuizen very important. You will see a number of professions. When you walk through the parc you can almost feel the history, the difficulty to earn enough to have a decent meal or a “house”. Live at sea was heavy and dangerous.
What I liked was a boat trip from Stavoren to Enkhuizen. This is a very nice thing to do in the summer. You will cross the Ijsselmeer and finish in Enkhuizen close to the museum. This ship is called Bep Glasius. In the summer you can use this ship from May until September. The price of a return ticket is €13,20.
If you arrive by train, you have to walk along the old harbor and walk underneath the Drommedaris. Cross the white drawbridge and turn right in the curve. Walk until you reach a wall, and turn left. Keep following the wall until you will see (on your left hand) the museum. (Wierdijk 12-22). And a little further on your right hand the city entrance from the museum park.
The ticket for the museum is € 12,50.
